I think it has a lot to do with playing their role. They are the pressure relief valve in place to give the illusion that people have a choice. I think there is more than ample evidence based on their actions to show that.

When a Pub wins, he runs and governs left Reagan being the exception. Since he left, Bush1 and 2 left the GOP far more liberal than when they got it. The ball always rolls left.

So every so often like the midterms, the GOP ids forced into power by a fed up electorate and what to they do? They also govern left and have ALWAYS left the party further to the left following each election.

The dems scream bloody morder and the MSM reinforces the illusion about ‘the furthest right GOP EVAH!!!. But it does not reflect in their record. The polar opposite does.

At the end of the day the country goes further left each election because it’s been guided there for many years before and since Ronaldus.

Which is why he is so hated. He put an 8 year damper on the agenda and they are intent on stopping a repeat.

Your list SHOULD be law.

Thanks Norm, but fact is you and a multitudes of others have come up with thousands of common sense solutions over the years, right here and elsewhere. Most all of which would benefit our country and our people.

Fact is we are being betrayed on a wholesale basis and it's been going on for several decades now...

Just look at our education, endless chain immigration chaos, pandering to foreigners, trillions in debt owed to the Communist of all people, criminals running the fed, the banks, the bailouts, the devalued dollar, the disgusting liberalism at all levels. Liberalism which has totally infiltrated most schools and the fat corps who love the EPA, regulations and total controls as it gets rid of their smaller competitors etc...It just goes on and on...

Were in this very deep and sinking.

Can we turn it around by traditional means?

I personally am not overly confident because it's been allowed to totally spin out of control from top to bottom. To the point where all the wrong people are in control.

My personal belief is that we can’t. I got into another completely useless ‘debate’ a few days ago with another Freeper’ over that.

One of the reasons I don’t think we can is that there simply aren’t enough o us willing to get our shit together and make it happen. If we did, then we ‘might’ have a chance at beginning to fix this or at minimum put our country on the right path to eventually make it happen.

That said, I intend to fight it every inch of the way. Dems, RINOs and especially they sycophants that give both their power every election.

I get so tired of this. The math could not be simpler. Every poll, survey and man on the street conversation backs the idea that the Right has the numbers to overwhelm any election we choose to. But we collectively would rather elect our problems.

The solution could not be simpler. The past 30 years have proven that we get more liberal every election and we do that by electing more liberal Republicans. Common sense says ‘Stop doing that’. But common sense gets derided by the cery people we need to vote for conservatives and not for Liberal Republicans.

They scream ‘Purist” and embrace corruption. They scream ‘We can WIN! with RINO X and then lose over and over. And when RINO X does win, what do they do? Govern line the libs they are.

Of course, the sycophants that put them in power to begin with are to damn proud to admit they were wrong, much like the Blacks on the Dem plantation and instead, grow their own plantation by doubling down on stupid and doing it again because, of course, ‘this time it’s gonna work for sure!”

To hell with catching more flies with honey than vinegar. These idiots caused this and intend to do it again and again and again. the same failed crap year after year and their egos will not let them harden the hell up and do the one simple thing that could turn this around. Vote for the conservatives they CLAIM to support but never, ever do.

Is a RINO ever going to oppose Barry? No.
Is a rino ever going to fight back against the indoctrination system from K-College? No
The EPA? No
The BLM? No
The NSA? Hell no, it was the GOP that expanded it.
Defend Marraige? Nope. They stopped fighting.
Amnesty? Un Uh. They PROMISED we get it when they take power.
Ebola and the new Amnesty borne diseases? Nope. Silence.
Abortion? Of course not. Their Donors are determined to steer them away from ‘social issues’.
Homo agenda? See above.

All that is true. It is in article after article day in and day out here. And what does a metric tome of the right say?

“We gotta vote GOP NO MATTER WHAT!?

Not me. If thats the America they want, they can have it. After that mess collapses, the rest of us can pick up the pieces. But if we help them destroy it, then we deserve everything their conning plan brings down on our heads.

And as a side note, before the perpetually offended somewhere out there start bitching, please disprove with fact anything I just said that isn’t the truth.

I concur with everything you said...Excellent Norm.

Agree, the sycophants are about as disgusting as they come, to the point where articles by the dozens claiming the new or rising political “star” which you must hitch your wagon to, as if the person is some kind of celebrity instead of an elected leader or rep, and it goes on and on.

Many years ago we were told to hold your noses....Support the better of two evils, as their evil was supported by the right club or party....Here people were wolf packed for not supporting Bush and his big gov policies.

Party over principle...

Compromise over conservatism...

Profits over patriotism...

On and on and on....

I’m coming with lots vinegar. Like you, I’ll say what needs to be said to the phony political frauds.

If the American big top eventually implodes and wheels come off, so be it. Since it’s so f’d up, that’s exactly what might need to happen, as a last chance to get it right again.

This time fewer conservatives and more liberals — Christie, Jeb, and others may divide their side. If Santorum and other weaker players will sit this out, we may get a conservative nominee.

It's true that last time Gingrich, Santorum and the others split the conservative vote and let Romney get the nomination. In 1980, by contrast the only competition Reagan had for conservative votes was Phil Crane, who didn't have any success.

But the more moderate candidates are in it to get the nomination. If they do poorly they'll opt out. Rudy Giuliani, for example. Their contributors and fundraisers and voters have the same attitude, and will flock to the candidate who's doing the best, leaving the also-rans wishing they were never-rans. As Senators and Governors, potential moderate candidates have a fair shot at getting a plum appointment if they back the right horse, so that's all the more reason to get out or to stay out.

By contrast, the more conservative candidates are in it because of conviction. It doesn't faze them or their voters if they do poorly in a primary, and they're prepared to run low budget campaigns because they believe in what they're saying. And as lowly Reps, or outsiders with no political experience, or people who lost their last race or gave up their seat, they aren't likely to get into anybody's cabinet. Running for President may be the high point of their lives even if their campaigns don't go anywhere.

Those may be the reasons why there are so many moderate potential candidates who don't run, and so many conservative candidates who do run and squeeze each other out of the nomination.

As I have come to expect, insightful and concise analysis.

Hit the nail on the head.
