A doctor who recently traveled from West Africa has tested positive for the Ebola virus at Bellevue Hospital.

Sources have identified the patient as Dr. Craig Allen Spencer, 33, who was working with Doctors Without Borders and recently returned from overseas. He was transported through the city's EMS system and was tested for possible Ebola-like symptoms. He tested positive Thursday night.
He is an American citizen, and sources say he arrived on Brussels Airlines Flight 501 from Brussels to JFK Airport on October 17. His flight history originated in Guinea. Spencer returned within the last 10 days.
Doctors Without Borders says he had contacted their office on Thursday morning to report having developed a fever. He had been self monitoring, as per Doctors Without Borders guidelines, quarantining himself. He had 103 fever and gastrointestinal problems when he was taken to the hospital from his apartment on West 147th Street in Hamilton Heights at 11:52 a.m.

ANYBODY who has been in that part of the world should go into a 42 day quarantine before being allowed into the US.
He certainly shoulda been able to diagnose hisself a number of days earlier. He could be facing a tough row.

Did they fail to properly edit this? First it says he is positive, then the last half is as if left over from earlier in the day, saying he is being tested, and it could be other stuff.
