If the GOP is too incompetent to convince voters to vote they deserve to lose.

Greatest plan in the history of mankind since the Shakers decided that the way to grow their movement was to forbid all sexual intercourse among their members. True genius.

Its rather stupid of the GOP to ignore its base then be mad when that base stays home on election day.

It’s rather stupid to forfeit your vote and think that the collective effect of this conservative obstinacy won’t work to the advantage of Democrats, commies, and liberals.

The 'rats use their machine to drive their wacko base to the polls while the GOPe uses its lamer machine to try to drive the independent middle while telling the base to buzz off.

Which method works better?

Democrats are interested in winning. Conservatives Chamber of Commerce, Karl Rove backed GOP-Establishment politicians, it’s hard to say what we are interested in, but winning is not very high up on our list.

There, fixed it for ya!

Either the GOP-E represents our values or they don't get our votes.

Non-negotiable.

Don't like the results??

Go whine to someone that cares.

An incompetent GOP is as dangerous as leftists.
If mush won’t inspire Conservatives to vote then mush deserves to lose.

You can make any comment you like, whatever makes you feel good, and you can certainly challenge my opinion at any time. Explain for all us your brilliant political plan for victory. But, leave my comments alone. I don’t need anyone to “fix it for me”.

Apparently you do since you are fallaciously and ignorantly stating that it is the fault of conservative voters and not the crappy GOP-E, Chamber of Commerce, Karl Rove candidates when they lose elections.

Mitt Romney and John McCain being the prime examples of this lunatic approach to elections.

“but how many GOP elitists believe the same things she does?”

Who cares? If we elect more conservatives; the elites will have more conservative members.

I'm certainly not going to defend Mitt Romney and John McCain, but you apparently think that anyone who doesn't agree with you must be one of their sycophants. Not so, at least in my case. You have yet to explain how your behavior is going to lead to election success for conservatives. Republicans, including very promising, bright conservatives, are going to be winners during this election cycle and the best you can manage is to continue to curse the darkness. Good luck to you.

Problem is, as your posting history shows, you are continually agitating for moderates and making excuses for not fighting for those same "very promising, bright conservatives".

With respect to being a winner in ANY election cycle, it is always best to lead by principle and communicate those principles well.

Sacrificing (or compromising) our principles so someone with an 'R' (in general) next to their name who does not share our principles and as recent history will show will NOT govern in a manner that is acceptable to conservatives and WILL move the party to the left is lunacy.

We will have no more of this "Beaten Wife" Syndrome!

"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

It is only a “stupid question” because you are attempting to use logic in order to explain liberal beliefs and behavior. Gender only matters if leftism is espoused. The same with race, creed, national origin, sexual orientation, special needs, ability/disability etc. The binding component is always leftism. It trumps all other constituencies.

One serious problem with your response is that Ronald Reagan would never contemplate doing what you are doing in his name. All smoke, no fire, and no plan.

Thank you for repeating the quote. One of the problem with Google and all of the Conservative blogs that paste this quote up with their screeds is that few have read how he came to say it and what he did after he said it.

The quote is most often found in William E. Pemberton's book, Exit with Honor, the Life and Presidency of Ronald Reagan. Here's what follows your quote:

Reagan’s main primary opponent was moderate Republican George Christopher, former San Francisco mayor. He regarded Reagan as a political amateur who should be taken seriously only because he was an extremist. Christopher soon found that Reagan’s masterly use of television made him a formidable opponent and that his inexperience in politics did not matter to voters disgusted with professional politicians. What struck Christopher as extremism put Reagan close to the mainstream of the California Republican Party, which was rapidly shifting to the right. Christopher also found in difficult to attack Reagan personally because the divisive 1964 campaign made unity the party’s highest priority. Nixon had warned Reagan that any Republican “bloodletting” would give the election to the Democrats. Dr. Gaylord Parkinson, Republican state chair, enunciated the Eleventh Commandment: Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican. Regan repeated the Eleventh Commandment so often that forever afterward it was associated with him rather that Parkinson. It had the practical effect of preventing Reagan’s opponents from attacking him as an extremist. He promised Nixon, “I’ll speak no evil (except about Democrats).

Ronald Reagan faced the same problem that we conservatives face today and for the same reasons. But, he was a winner and he did not intend to lose. So, he chose a course far different than the one you advocate. I'm with Reagan, I’ll speak no evil (except about Democrats). I remember those fights and understood why it was important to win them back then. It's even more important today.

The adds say that since Ernst is woman who is prolife, she is less of a woman. Oh, and she is a Republican who is a Christian, so she is to dangerous to be let out walking around.

The adds have convinced a few of my Democrat leaning friends to vote for her.
