A rare appearance on the campaign trail by President Obama on Sunday night was marred by a steady stream of crowd members leaving early and even a yelling heckler.
The president had shown up at the Democratic rally in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, near Washington, to support Lieutenant Governor Anthony Brown, who is running for governor.
With Obama's approval levels hovering around record lows, many candidates from his party have been wary of appearing with the president during their election races because of his sagging popularity.

They all have been exposed to obolo and they suddenly suffered from explosive disgust-a-tion.
I found myself at a party in the...ahem...ghetto. An older black man with a fake leg nicknamed ‘gangster’ asked me, out of the blue, what I thought of Obama.
I chose my words carefully, and said I was disappointed in him.
Gangster then went on a rant about how bad Obama was, and told some Obama joke.
He’s lost Gangster...its over.
But look at cities like Detroit.
They keep voting skin color above all else. What are they getting for it?
They are God’s children, with souls. They seek truth. They are probably starving for it, at a level they do not yet comprehend, and probably suffer from cognitive dissonance frequently.
We must be about truth, always and strongly. And also compassion that reflects truths. That can win many hearts.
And this battle is about the heart.

To the moron in the White House, this passes for intelligent political debate. It probably is for the morons in his constituency.
People like that show and people like the 1950s - when we had a leader who knew how the hell to lead - as opposed to someone who leads from behind in more ways than one.
