Are you on the front lines of Ebola? We'd like to hear your story.
As questions continue to swirl about how to deal with the ever-growing fears of Ebola, relatives of the first person to be diagnosed with the deadly virus in the United States gathered to grieve Saturday.
Wiping tears from their eyes, family and friends of Thomas Eric Duncan told CNN affiliate Time Warner Cable News Charlotte he was a "compassionate and respectful young man."
As relatives said their final farewells to Duncan, a Liberian national and father of four, at Rowan International Church in Salisbury, North Carolina, they wanted him to be remembered for his acts of kindness, "as opposed to the person who brought this disease to America because he didn't know he was sick," said nephew Josephus Weeks.
Duncan, 42, died earlier this month at a hospital in Dallas. His mother and other relatives live in North Carolina.
This week, a Central American country closed its borders to anyone who has been anywhere near the disease. And an airline scrambled to inform hundreds passengers that they had been on a plane that carried someone who has since come down with Ebola.
When U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry asked the government of Belize to help evacuate a Dallas hospital worker from a cruise ship off its coast on Friday, officials declined to let her on shore....

They sure are a mobile family, they travel like rich people, as though money was no problem.
Yet they live in some of the sh**iest apartments in Dallas.
Spreading his love throughout America.
I wonder how Duncan, who is supposedly a poor man, was able to afford an expensive flight from Liberia, to Brussels, to DC, to Dallas..that ought to have cost him at least 3 grand, unless he had a bunch of frequent flyer miles
I’m not mourning this clown who spread Ebola here where he never even lived. This is like me going to Ireland and spreading disease among the Irish
What family? He was a 42-year old shacked up with a 54-year old woman with her 35-year daughter who called him Dad with her own four children with unknown Dads
This thoughtless POS vermin, who has now involved dozens of innocent people with ebola, deserves nothing but a loud raspberry. Is every person infected with ebola going to cost half a million in medical care? Who is going to pay for this? He was quick to come here to infect us, but I don’t see anyone stepping up to pay for his very expensive care. Only to blame white people that he died because as a black, he was accorded inferior treatment. I’d like to smack his illegitimate git from that ho he shacked up with right across the face for accusing this.
“When U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry asked the government of Belize to help evacuate a Dallas hospital worker from a cruise ship off its coast on Friday, officials declined”
I know that shouldn’t make me laugh but it did. Actually I would love to have heard precisely how they worded it.
Ummm. I THOUGHT the “family” was under quarantine . . . what the hell are they doing in MY STATE ? ! ? ! ? For the love of all that’s good and just in this world - VISIT D.C. will ya ! !
It’s a memorial to stupidity, with a statue of a fool....
Just like he spread his vomit all over the sidewalk.
Most Section 8 housing is shi**y.

Sorry. I am not savvy enough to link. But last week there were four CDC tractor trailers parked around the block from you.

Instead, he died helping someone, Korkoya said, referring to the pregnant woman. That shows you the kind of man Eric was.
PING!
Not stupid...... African
Thanks !
