How did the idiot Israelis permit this insanity to happen? It started with Moshe Dayan, who upon reconquering the Mount, handed it back to the Jordanian "Wakf". Meanwhile there is NO "noble sanctuary" in Jerusalem for Islam, which is not mentioned even once in the Koran. Israel can end all this tomorrow, by simply reclaiming the entire Mount, and beginning construction of a 3rd Temple. They don't need to wreck the Dome of the Rock, merely build around and over it.
