During the Bush administration, a Seattle parade featured a float with effigies of Bush and Cheney, and spectators were encouraged to take rotten vegetables from a cart and throw them at the effigies. Also, at Seattle’s annual Bumbershoot musical festival, I saw a guy selling t-shirts depicting Bush being shot in the head. To my knowledge, none of our local print or TV media took offensive with either of these things. Can you imagine the uproar if similar things were directed at Obama?

I see from the whitehouse.gov web page that he spent a total of 1 hour and 30 minutes with those defense representatives from other countries yesterday. He left the WH at 2:40 for Andrews and returned to the WH at 4:10. He spends longer than that at the golf course.

Where did he ever get the nerve to sit among others in military uniforms when he never so much as put on a Boy Scout uniform? Well, at least he never put on a uniform in OUR country but we can’t be sure of Indonesia.

I wonder how many serious ones there were in the crowd yesterday. Ones who actually WANT to and believe that something can be done about ISIS.... I know one who doesn’t and he wasn’t wearing a uniform.

My dem neighbor was out with his walker and stopped to watch my husband put up Halloween decorations. The neighbor told him the scariest things in the yard were our two Republican signs. I laughed when I heard it, so did my husband. I figure he intended it as a joke.
