University of Kansas Hospital officials to release an update on a patient being treated for Ebola-like symptoms. Watch the news conference live.
Second question: "Will the doctors undergo sensitivity training to the plight of West Africans before treating him?"
Third question: "Why did Bush allow this to happen?"
Initial PCR test show negative to ebola. CDC will give final word in 48 hours. Preliminary reports are good. Patient shows improvement.
That Chief Medical Officer seems to be doing a great job. Very impressive.
Good news, thanks for the update.

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
Thanks for the ping!
