Also typical is the liberal idea that the more people have the disease, the faster a cure will be forthcoming.

They might actually be right for once. Of course, it depends on what people. Before Ebola is at the palace (White House) gates, I have little doubt that the cure will be available at every drug store.

Introduction of Ebola vaccines and drugs like ZMapp is undoubtedly being slowed down by the FDA's bureaucratic molasses.

This is the 34th outbreak of Ebola since 1976 -- and the current outbreak has killed more than the other 33 outbreaks combined. There really isn't much excuse for the US -- and other western governments -- being caught unprepared this time.

3) Victims or potential victims tend to break the rules and introduce unpredictability.
