Normal people are now too afraid to speak out against it, they don’t want to be unfriended by their facebag friends. Many people now believe that disagreeing with homosexuality is racist and that homos are going through a human rights struggle. People literally cheer them on now and gladly support and enable their behavior. It’s sad but here in NC I think that if we had another vote for the constitutional amendment today, it would not be 61% against homo marriage, it would probably flip to the dark side.
The key point is that it is not up to you or the courts or anyone else in government or society to determine if such an act is "sinful" - that determination is up to the individual and their understanding of the requirements of their faith. For the government in particular to try to decide if "merely" hosting a same-sex "wedding" or basking a cake for such an event would cause the person to be participating in a sinful act would be to have the state establishing the tenets of religion - something the Constitution clearly forbids.
Note, this is not an attack on you - just pointing out that your opinion of whether or not it is sin should have no more impact on whether another person's belief is valid that should the government's position on the matter.
It is important that people stand up. Religious freedom is at stake. If you think giving in to this will make it go away and they will stop. They will push as they are already pushing with Transexuality and genderqueer ideas to define gender terms as hate. Right now they call them insensitive.
