Remember, those "hard determined Germans" were decimated as a result of Hitler's "Dreams". When they had to rebuild from the rubble, they "invited" the Muslim labor to assist them/ Now, like the rest of Europe, they are faced with an unsustainable social welfare state with an ever increasing horde of "citizens" having no inclination to "assimililate"..., only to eventually ABSORB them into the Caliphate!

Liberal socialism came about because of the Marshall Plan.
Too much free money poured out over an ungrateful Europe resulting in long vacations, short work weeks, laziness and all around inefficiency and arrogance toward those that did the dying and contributing.

Socialism came later, after the rebuilding of Europe and Industrialization....choices made in contrast to ours. We have recently adopted the failed plans of European socialism.

I lived in Europe in those days.
Without the Marshall Plan there would not be money for the rebuilding of Europe.
It was the beginning of the “Wirtschaftwunder” in the late 50’s early 60’s. That was also the time that locals felt that they had become too good to do the heavy labor and dirty jobs and decided to import muzzies simply because they could not import East Europeans because of the Iron Curtain.
More money — more spending on social projects and we (the US) continued to take care of their defense so that they could spend the money building Utopia.
The riots are because the Turks won’t allow Kurds in Turkey to cross over and help out Kurds in Kobani.
