Update: Fisk is no longer on line.

I hope you freeze to death this winter.

All the numbers used herein are meaningless to me.
We need to know what the total consumptions are for the same time periods. As much as I respect this CNS source, this is BAD journalism to not present ALL the facts relevant.
this is what Hussein wanted: to cripple the country.
“Shut this down. Shut it all down.”
“Green” leftards want to do for the country what they’ve done for California.

Brown outs brought to you by the Brown Shirts
Being here in deep SE Texas, this could get down right fun to watch this winter.
I would think air conditioning in the south would be a bigger load on the grid than heating in the north.
They can always burn something.
Not if the EPA has any say in the matter of combustion in your house. Your comfort/survival is secondary to Global Change.
Ignoring the global warming scare about CO2, a new coal-fired plant, which removes all emissions harmful to health, has a lower cost per KWH of output than a new gas-fired plant. There is therefore no rationale for the proposed EPA regulations. If promulgated, they should be revoked by a future Republican administration.
A coal-fired plant’s CO2 emissions are approximately double that of a gas-fired plant. CO2 Sequestration/capture is very expensive. A modern coal plant removes the harmful gases and particulates from the flue gas: N2, H2O, O2, NOx, SOx and fly ash. CO2 sequestration/capture has no environmental value and no economic value, other than the use of CO2 for petroleum extraction.
The only way for humans to stay warm, other than permanently residing in the tropics, is to BURN stuff. But the byproduct of burning anything is CO2.
How do these bureaucratic geniuses expect folks to stay alive when the temperature drops?
I’ve always thought a catastrophic rupture of a CO2 sequestration storage unit (think earthquake) would result in a suffocation of all living things in a certain radius through oxygen deficiency. Plus most CO2 sequestration is usually onsite of the power plant.
Not enough power and resources?
Continue to import tens of hundreds of thousands more foreigners, illegals, people on Visas and others from every flophouse country on the planet...
Looking sharp U.S. government.
Appearantly it's targeted politically, and EPA regs for Texas are 3 to 4 times what average limits are.--from EPA's Rules On CO2 Emissions Will Kill The Economy
Only about two years, three months, one week and four days before this rabid ideologue is out of office. Hopefully Texas won’t have to secede to survive. ; [
Back in college we had bumper stickers “Ban Mining. Let the Bastards freeze in the dark.” Bring it up to date and change mining to power plants.
“Not if the EPA has any say in the matter of combustion in your house.”
I’m pretty sure that in California (or parts of) that you can’t build a new home with a fire place. And in other areas there are burn bans when there are temperature inversions.
All the stupid people that bought into this global warming crap are to blame.
