Is it allowed here to criticize Rush on this trhead?
Hopefully so.
I love Rush. But Fridays are the worst. Open Line Friday is a terrible idea. Actually having Rush take calls is also a lousy idea. He’s better off just talking.
But Rush talking also has some problems. Too many rants. Too much repetition. But when he is on, he is really on. That’s why we listen to him.
But the reason I rarely listen to Rush is the number of commercial breaks. He’s the best but he’s really on for only about 35 minutes per hour. These days you can listen to podcasts that have zero interruptions or perhaps a minute or two total breaks per hour. That’s really a much better use of your time. And there is some great stuff out there.
So about the only time I listen to Rush is when I’m driving and the clock is between :07 to about :20 after the hour. Otherwise I just skip it.
Sad to say.
Rush is the best. Actually he is the best by far. But the show is ruined for me by the interruptions.

I have watched RUSH since he was this little round headed guy on my tv when I went home for lunch. He was saying stuff I said - even the way I phrased stuff! Who on earth is this? And I have been a dedicated RUSHFAN for (how long is that?)

I thought Rush’s TV show was on at odd times, like 2AM?
Was just thinking that when he was on TV, Rush was the Conservative Jon Stewart before there was a Jon Stewart.
Bet the first thing he mentions is Gwyneth consciously uncoupling from SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!

He needs to go back to the days where he was doing the humorous updates. Gay Updates, Animal Rights Updates, etc. That’s what got me hooked when I tuned across him on a Florida beach in 1989.
So glad the weekend is finally here.
