Glucocorticoids show some promise. The hemorragic stages of ebola are the result of a cytokine storm. Glucocorticoids inhibit those cytokines. If nothing else it might increase the survival rate.

I thought the coagulopathy was more directly attributed to clotting factor being bound up and unusable and also no longer produced due to liver damage.

The binding up of the clotting factor and the damage to the liver are also results of the cytokine storm.
