Bad as it is now, the GOP was partially founded to protect Black people’s right to be armed.
I say this as someone who doesn’t own guns.
Eric Holder believes minorities are too stupid to obtain a valid picture ID.
Sounds like Holder is a racist.
This is news? It well known what our govt thinks of its armed citizens.
he doesn’t want to protect their right to vote, he wants to protect their right to vote multiple times in one election. IMO voter fraud is WAY worse than we know.
They can be required to have a picture ID to buy booze or cigarettes but not vote? Only a totally corrupt party would ever institute a policy so insane.
Eric has to protect the right of Democrats to commit voter fraud.
Actually, I don't necessarily think this is such a bad idea, in the abstract. Sure would cut down on the number of LIV's.
I also support the idea of a poll tax, because I think that everyone who's voting - and thus choosing how gov't dollars are parcelled out - should have skin in the game.
Flame away.
Just moved to a predominately ‘rat county a couple of years ago (long story),
and just voted here for the first time in August.
I noticed that the poll workers, as far as I could tell, were making the ID requirement as onerous as possible - making it hurt, like shutting down the national parks.
Okay, you asked for it.
Liberals are racists, that’s not news
If a qualified voter is prevented from voting, by an unfair system — that is, indeed an infringement of a right (whether or not that right is specifically codified in the Constitution). However, it’s seldom acknowledged that (legitimate) voters’ rights are also infringed, whenever an inadequate system allows an unqualified voter to vote.
It’s elementary algebra.
It would surely be interesting if one could use the same form for voter registration, concealed carry, or both. All requirements would apply equally to whichever you chose.
If the libs want tighter gun control, they get tighter voting control. If we want lax gun control, we get lax voter control.
I’d accept the compromise, if it were enforced equally.
Any fraudulent vote inherently cancels out a legitimate vote, and disenfranchises that voter.
BTTT
You’ve put the algebra into words. That message needs to get out there.

"Ay, there's the rub!" Have we talked about "executive orders" and interesting new constitutional theories (like das Fuehrerprinzip, for example) propounded by Dear Leader's supporters?
