According the the BLS, annual incomes for the five quintiles for 2008 - 2012 are as follows:
Lowest - Down $200
Second - Flat
Third - Flat
Fourth - Up $1900
Highest - Up $8300
For the bottom 3/5ths of the economy, there has been no recovery. Their incomes fell in 2008, and have stuck there ever since.
This is Crony Capitalism at work.
If people were just content to tread water that would be one thing.
I personally believe they still have pent-up desires for rising incomes. Only now more and more of them are turning to the GOVERNMENT to become the agent which makes that happen.
Hence you get 73% yes votes on a ballot initiative to raise the minimum wage.
