I believe it is a disorder for which a real cure may never come. And no, I don’t believe individuals should be allowed to act on it with children.
Sexuality is a “need” that is completely fabricated by the mind with no mechanical/physical basis. While it is not necessary and often even damaging to to the individual, it is necessary for our species to exist as a whole. It is not a mechanical requirement like air, water or food but the mind craves it nearly as much.
Since sexuality is fabricated and doesn’t harm the individual, there are people alive with various sexual miswirings. Things like same-sex attraction, inanimate objects, animals, transsexuals, asexuality, violence/killing, etc, etc.
Without a doubt, their mind tells them to crave these things just as strongly as my mind craves making love to beautiful women. Otherwise they would not risk death and prison to do it.
I don’t believe every action that someone sexually craves should be accepted or legal. I just want people to understand that it is a true disorder. Unfortunately, our only solution at this time is to imprison these people when they get caught harming someone.
Shoot, shovel and shut up seems to be a particularly effective tactic...
