John Cornyn for re-election to Senate (because he'll be a Grand Conciliator...)
San Antonio Express News ^ | 10/3/14 | EXPRESS-NEWS EDITORIAL BOARD

We do not always agree with Texas Sen. John Cornyn, and, as he is in Senate leadership, it’s difficult not to lay some of the blame at his feet for the gridlock that has seized Congress.

We recommend him for re-election nonetheless, based on a long record of achievement — but also on a hope.

Through his decades of public service to Texas as a state district judge, a state Supreme Court justice and attorney general, we’ve seen a John Cornyn who might not have been as comfortable as he appears today in the Beltway’s toxic politics.

This, of course, might be a case of feeling the need to follow a party playbook for the sake of GOP unity and re-election — out of fear of the tea party boogeyman.

If you’re being endorsed by an MSM rag, that is NOT a good sign.

The mere fact this liberal rag in the sanctuary city of San Antonio endorses McCornyn is all you need to know about the senior senator from Texas.

Yes. As officers of the court, their participation in the legislature or in appointed office violates separation of powers.

Lawyers ought to be barred from any public office.

Conciliator - fancy word for one who raises a white flag to avoid the battle. We need a fighter, we are in a war for the culture and future of liberty on planet earth. There is no surrender, we need men who will pledge their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor. But then again, I just may be that tea-party bogyman - booo!

Appears to me he’s as much responsible as any to the rift between Conservatives and rinos in the republican party. They must mean he’s a grand Conciliator between rinos and democrats.
