IIRC the Spanish Flu Pandemic started as a small outbreaks in mar/arpril then went dormant for several months, then went full pandemic when flu season hit.

But this is more like the way it should be handled. That said, my wife got violently ill last winter and it was just a bad flu. It would look like it was getting better, and then get worse. And better, and worse. For four weeks.
I don’t think it takes long to figure out someone with ebola-like symptoms does or doesn’t have it.
And I suspect these KY cases are not ebola.
My daughter is a retail pharmacist. She’s convinced she will get this despite precautions she’s taking. She’s never been this worried before.
I’m more worried about the enterovirus 68.
I hear a lot about “ebola-like” and “in contact with ebola”.
How many people in the US have actually started showing symptoms while in the US? And how many of the people who came into contact with them started showing symptoms?
I’m not being accusational. I really am curious as to the number of confirmed cases and not just cases of “being cautious”.
