I guess we do too.
Growing up on a farm, you keep enough food on hand to “ride out the storm”. Didn’t realize how uncommon that was till college.

The five children are his girlfriend's kids. Why they are not ALL quarantined is beyond me.
U.S. Ebola patient: The travels and health travails of Thomas Duncan
..........That number includes five students who attended four different schools in the area, according to Dallas Superintendent Mike Miles.
They are Duncans girlfriends children, according to Gaye, the Liberian community leader.
Those children are being monitored at home, though none have exhibited Ebola symptoms. ...........

Notice how many last names those kids, half-siblings and relatives have. One of her kids is supposed to be his yet she claims she didn’t come in contact with any of his body fluids. Geez, rabbits.

Its in an apt. complex. If the complex owner had any decency, hed burn it to the ground because the only way hell ever rent it again is to lie. Much cheaper to hire a manager out of town, who does not know which exactly apartment is contaminated. The address hasn't been made public yet, as I understand.
Even in medical terms, it would be probably sufficient to remove and burn the carpets; remove and replace sinks, taps, bathtubs, wall switches; then clean hard surfaces with antiseptic and paint them. No virus will survive in a layer of acetone-based paint. Ebola virus is not known for being extremely resilient; it can survive on dry, non-hostile surfaces for about a day. If it were not so, we'd have nobody left in Africa by now.

You can bet there was a family meal and get-together to greet Thomas Duncan at the apartment complex.
Liberians eat from a common bowl. They pick up the food with their fingers. (Unless this family has become entirely Americanized, which I doubt.) Traditional fare has to be eaten in the traditional way.
Even if they had food delivered, like pizza, wings, fried chicken, etc...These are all finger foods. Even at my house, guests will say “Are you gonna eat that crust?” to someone who has left crusts on the plate.

"
Anybody troubled by the lack of support for this family?"
That
and much worse.
But only the very few of us G-d-fearing people are troubled by the neglect and desires that they will be harmed. According to more information in the article, they were trapped without enough food, and linens weren't exchanged.
I'll pray for the right things to happen in the general situation.

I doubt “Louise” is reading this thread. She or one of her cohorts left the house when they were quarantined possibly exposing more people to ebola. My sympathy is with the people on the outside.

Here is a pic from news WFAA as to how they are cleaning up the vomit outside the apartment. Pressure washing.

"Troubled by the fact that there is already a need for outsiders to bring them food/basic hygiene tips."
They're quarantined and not allowed to leave their apartment. They're in an urban area. Not many big freezers there, besides the fact that most big freezers are power hogs.
"Gibsmedat was only the 2nd worst disease to come out of the Dark Continent, as it turns out.
Who knew?"
Like I said, I'll pray for all of the right things to happen to everyone.

Who invented that baby talk? Who is capable of giving the honest answer to that question?

The medical waste contractor was scheduled to get to the apartment to take the old sheets and clean up around there today, several days after Duncan was finally taken from there to the hospital.

Baby talk??? How culturally insensitive. Just listen to the Øbamafoam lady and you will get the gist that it is a phonetic spelling of an utterance of the entitlement crowd.

Well, I’m not troubled that they’re quarantined, but it sounds half-assed. They should be quarantined UNDER GUARD, but with food, TP, and similar supplies delivered to the door for the duration.

The five children are his girlfriend's kids. You're telling me that ONE woman's kids go to FIVE different schools?
Don't try explaining. I think it would just twist my brain even more.

"Baby talk??? How culturally insensitive."
The word, Gibsmedat, was invented by fascist, socialist whites, who suck rivers of federal pork to themselves in their local government and government-linked offices. They haven't been around blacks enough to know how black people talk (all kinds of ways, like whites).
