Obama Is Rewriting History On ISIL. It Won't Wash By Peter Foster Sept.29, 2014 Given how completely Barack Obama's foreign policy has been upended by the rise of Isil in Syria, it is not surprising that the president should try and gloss over the scale of his own miscalculation when it came to the threat posed by the jihadists – but that doesn't mean he should be allowed to get away with it. This weekend Mr Obama had the cheek to blame his intelligence agencies for the fact that the White House was "caught by surprise" by the sudden rise of Isil, publicly throwing James Clapper, his Director of National Intelligence, under the bus for failing to flag up the threat. "Jim Clapper has acknowledged that I think they underestimated what had been taking place in Syria," he told CBS News, before going on to spin the narrative that Isil had disappeared underground and then, "during the chaos of the Syrian civil war … they were able to reconstitute themselves." Various members of his staff
Failures in assessment outside his administration
The Constitution of the United States
Citizens who oppose him
And others...
Perhaps the worst part, is that in many instances he refuses to assess blame to anyone at all.
Right now he claims to have been a better job creator than Reagan. Thus, he sees no need for blame.
As for Iraq, his removal of all troops cause a vacuum in Iraq. ISIS walked in unopposed. This was not a mistake on his or anyone elses part in his mind. There is no need for blame.
The list is long of the things this man does not see as a problem, and thus no blame is warranted.
One thing is certain, at the end of eight years, this man will have done absolutely nothing worthy of taking blame for.
That being the case, he will have done not one single thing worthy of being credited with, that is positive.
This nation will assess more blame on this man over time, than he was able to blame on others in eight years. And that’s really saying something.
That’s okay nobody believes the king Kong extra anyway.
The fact that ISIS also turned up in Istanbul (also with Erdogan’s blessing) just drives the point home a little more. The destructive forces are moving and coalescing.
There's a whole lot going on. None of it the least bit good. Watch Turkey. They're a huge player in the coming chapters.
