Imprisoned Miami cop gets an extra 1-1/2 years for criminal contempt

An already imprisoned ex-Miami police sergeant implored a judge to give him a break on his new sentence for retaliating against fellow officers who helped the FBI in a corruption probe of his drug-fighting squad.

He, a public servant, broke faith.
He should be punished more severely.
Perhaps a bigger deterrent is needed.

After being caught, Raul apparently tried to drag some other officers in.
I lived in south Florida for about 3 years,
and the tales about such things as this were legendary.
Money is a powerful drug.
