Carly Fiorina Hits the Trail With an Eye on 2016
National Journal ^ | September 25, 2014 | Emily Schultheis

She's been to New Hampshire three times and South Carolina once. She's heading to Iowa this weekend, and then North Carolina and Michigan after that. Clearly, Carly Fiorina is thinking about 2016.

But is anybody thinking about Carly Fiorina?

The former Hewlett-Packard CEO and 2010 Senate candidate is hitting the campaign trail in the lead-up to Election Day for her new super PAC, teaching activists and politicians how to talk to female voters—and building herself a grassroots base in a half-dozen electorally important states in the process.

While her efforts are focused on helping the GOP win control of the Senate in November, political strategists say Fiorina is doing all the right things to prep for a 2016 bid. And the message she's touting is a preview of the kind of role she could play, if she runs.

So will she run?

"People ask me that a lot, so if you get asked that a lot you have to think about it—you have to consider it," Fiorina told National Journal. "I'm flattered by the question and I have to consider it."

I remember all the fawning press she got while she was running HP into the ground.

I believe she now lives in VA.

VA has two Dem US Senators and a Dem governor.

Why not trying winning one of these offices first before running for POTUS?

You don’t start out at the top.

Memo to Dr. Carson, with all due respect.

This sniffs like one of those things that you put on your resume. So now when she’s announced it can be as ex presidential candidate.

Just what we need, another candidate to help turn the upcoming GOP presidential primaries into an overcrowded circus.

Everyone gets an iPod with a Presidential Seal replacing the Apple logo.

Please, she destroyed one of the greatest research and tech companies on the planet, why her name keeps popping up related to politics is beyond me......

IF she’s the best the GOP can find, the GOP deserves to lose.

“she destroyed one of the greatest research and tech companies on the planet”

She happened because for all the homage Bill and Dave got, the system they left in place for running the company was seriously flawed. Just like Apple, and may other companies that are founded and run by visionaries! The visionary model of management only works for a lifetime. Then it is very rare that any progeny will have the skills or desire to run a company. Ford had to go through several generations to get a winner.

I’m not justifying the foolish things CF did, just saying that IMHO HP was broken prior to her arrival.

It is really amazing how, a scant 3 and a half months after Eric Cantor, the House’s “Majority Leader”, got is @$$ handed to him over the issue of H1B abuse and other immigration matters...

...that both Boehner can push again for immigration, and Carly, who did so much to push for outsourcing American jobs to other countries, can think that they have political capital.

It speaks to who’s funding them - treasonous crony capitalists like the US Chamber of (Crony) Commerce.

Considering the way California looks right now (electorally), I doubt Ronald Reagan could have beaten Boxer.
