Luck of the Ivy: Illegal Alien Gets Full Ride from Harvard Friday, 26 Sep 2014 By John Blosser

Harvard University doled out a free, all-expenses-paid scholarship to an illegal alien.

For the past three years, Dario Guerrero, now a junior at Harvard, has had a free ride, telling the Washington Post that his scholarship "meant I wouldn’t have to worry about student loans or quarterly tuition payments; that I always had a place to stay away from home; that I could travel every semester, on Harvard’s dime, back to California; that my parents would never have to worry whether I’d finish school.

Editor's Note: 14 Families Reveal How to Destroy Debt and Retire Early "Those are luxuries few people, documented or not, ever have."

Guerrero, majoring in visual and environmental studies, discovered he was an undocumented alien while he was in high school, Breitbart News reported, and was told his Social Security number and name didn't match. His parents, undocumented Mexican immigrants, admitted to him that they had overstayed their visa when he was three years old and given him his brother's Social Security number.

Hardly the first time. Didn't they do the same for Odumbo?

I know you’re kidding, the illegal alien is bragging about all the money he’s sucking up from harvard and from legal taxpaying citizens.

Environmental studies-I see he has plans to continue the free ride off taxpayers in the future, with the added benefit of helping to enact more regulations and losses of liberty upon them.

Just like the Fee Sh*t Army-they kill the golden goose even as they demand more and more eggs.

I wonder how many needy American citizens could have used this scholarship. When will they wake up about the illegals?

I wish my kids were criminals too. Then they could go to Harvard for free, just like this criminal.

Private school can do whatever it wants.

If I were President I would have ICE there in a second. But the school can do what it wants.

Maybe he’ll one day end up in the White House too, just like that other illegal alien that went to Harvard.

"I used to think that being undocumented was a disadvantage to me. I used to mourn the fact that I was different. But ultimately I realize that it was because of, not in spite of, my identity — as an undocumented Chicano — that I was been able to do what I did," he told the Post

Pull Harvard's charter. Message sent.

Quote from an earlier post here: The schools have no choice when it comes to providing K-12 education. SCOTUS made that mandatory with Plyler vs Doe in 1982. Here in Fairfax County, Virginia we pay $104 million a year for ESOL instruction for 31,000 students.

*******

My post: That 1982 Supreme Court ruling is the reason we need Constitutional amendments like the following to try to control illegal immigration:

1. "School attendance: Only citizens, legal residents, those with special student visas can attend elementary, high school, and colleges in the United States."

2. "One parent must be a citizen before a newborn child is given automatic citizenship."

3. Felony: We must finally declare that crossing the border illegally is a felony.

Illegal parents come to the United States for the wonderful benefits that their children can receive, like a quality education and great health care. Can you blame them for making the dangerous, long trip with their young children, or sending their children by themselves with the hope that the United States will automatically let them stay?

I don't understand how a child can illegally cross the southern border one day and automatically be eligible to enroll in public school the next day. That is wrong.
