Local control of schools is best. The school board, elected by the community, wants children to learn respect and citizenship.

The teachers and students resist. Yes, the teachers disagree with teaching students truth.

Fire the teachers, flunk the students.

And DO NOT allow the federal government to dictate your curriculum.

Colorado has changed, and not necessarily for the better.

“Colorado has changed, and not necessarily for the better.”

Too many Kalifornian’s. After screwing up their own state beyond repair, many relocated to Colorado. But, instead of seeing the errors of their ways and changing their behavior, they decided to change Colorado and make it like Kalifornian’s.

True just like the college and university protest of the 60's and 70's were lead by disciples of the likes of Marxist Herbert Marcuse.

Colorado High School Students Organize Walkout to Protest History Curriculum Changes

High school students in Colorado have organized walkout protests to take a stand against proposed changes to history curriculum that would emphasize positivity, while doing the opposite with issues of civil disorder. Today, hundreds of students from about five different schools walked out to protest the Jeffco School Board’s proposed review.

One student explained, “An idea is to censor a lot of U.S. history so they can’t talk about some of the negatives, or they don’t want to talk about civil disobedience, which is censorship. And censorship’s communism, censorship’s national socialism, censorship is terrible.”

This is merely a proposal, it has not been instituted yet. But the proposal involves the promotion of “citizenship, patriotism, essentials and benefits of the free-market system, respect for authority and respect for individual rights” while not covering or barely glossing over material that would “encourage or condone civil disorder, social strike or disregard of the law.”

Has anyone identified the educrats that are poisoning the minds of these ‘students’?

Then they could be horsewhipped in public.

Yeah, the ‘students’ too.

Most AP US History classes teach using the Howard Zinn book or philosophy. America causes evil in the world. Wealth creates poverty. Liberty is slavery, etc.

We need to take back the classroom. There’s just not enough homeschoolers to turn this around. Vouchers now.

This is a classic case of media deception.

This one AP report will appear in countless newspapers across the country and more. Your average low-info reader will read it and think that some knuckle-dragging reactionaries are promoting something evil.

But from all I can see, the school board is merely taking a look at the anti-American, grievance interpretation of American history that has just been injected into the already-Leftist AP curriculum. That is something that a majority of even low-info readers would back.

Libs rely on cashing in on the guilt. That’s how they maintain their control. That’s how they justify taking 50% of your income. If they can’t instill guilt in children, they would lose control.
