How about people actually drink less soda? This is babysitting idiocy at its best!

Maybe if they suck up, they’ll be among the last to the gulags.

Or both././

What stupidity. What if someone desires to drink two cans instead of one? Will that soon be a federal crime?

If Bloomberg could get his way, yes, it will be a federal criminal offense to have two cans of soda.

It’s the smart move. “Yeah we’ll reduce people’s calorie intake... OK boys business as usual”. It gets them coverage from the whiners, and lets them keep selling what people want. Just like McDonalds regularly adding salads to the menu, everybody knows they won’t sell, but hey they’re making low calorie low fat options available.

If they want to sell additional low calorie versions of their products, that’s OK with me. However, if they change existing products they will lose their customers.

Actually, their ginger ale and Sprite copies are pretty tasty. I mix them with cranberry juice on crushed ice.

Smaller cans and smaller glass bottles would help. Yes, I know they have them already, but the per unit cost is much higher. Also, I think using cane sugar would probably be better than corn syrup. Definitely, would taste better.

They used to have a product called “Coke 2”. It had half the calories of regular coke and tasted the same to me.

Anyhow, I usually drink some soda every day...just smaller portions 4 ounces vs normal 12/16 oz container. Soda shouldn’t be guzzled by the gallon.
