Why don't they just outlaw motorized vehicles and be done with the eventual extermination
of capitalism in CA. What's the hold up?

Think Moonbeam Jerry will be able to get all those “low riders” in LA off the roads? As it is you don’t need a license, registration or plates and insurance to drive there if you have the “illegal immigrant get out of jail free card”.

And the electricity comes from coal, gas, or nuclear utilities. So how can these be zero emissions cars?

At the average cost per Kwh in the United States, it costs $2.38 per charge to travel 38 miles. That means it's(Chevy Volt) less fuel efficient than my wife's 1992 Honda Sedan which we paid $700 for in 2001. Our 2006 Toyota Corolla gets 41mpg highway and about 30 in the city. We paid $3,000 for that.

So for low income people trying to stretch their dollar and save the planet, the governor's numbers just don't hunt?

I did not even begin to factor in depreciation and insurance costs. Insuring a used Toyota Corolla runs $600 per year for collision and liability. A $36,000 Chevy Volt runs about $1,600 with full coverage.

Jerry Brown just gave 1 million California illegal aliens drivers licenses and I don’t think they will be driving electric vehicles.
