When the conscience of a nation has turned so absolutely upside-down that something helpful is forbidden, but something absolutely harmful is accepted without a second thought, the only solution is an appeal to the Creator of the human conscience — the One who wrote His law on the hearts of men.

Amen!

These idiots are educating your children.

Kinda like having a Pigeon teach your child how to play chess.

He might poop on the board, and need toilet paper.

Oops, over the counter. Need a note from home for toilet paper.

Just write the note on TP. Two pigeons with one TP.

These idiots would have lost their minds in the 70’s! Who here remembers Lip Smackers? We had to have all the flavors!

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

This is beyond absurd.

People will probably think that this is not a big deal and blow it off as not a valid reason to homeschool. And in light of the many really GOOD reasons to, it really doesn't seem significant.

But it's death by a thousand cuts.

A friend’s grandson recently broke his collar bone and needed Tylenol during the school day. Only the nurse could dispense the Tylenol. So what happens? The school nurse is out of school and the boy can’t get his pain reliever. He calls his Mom during lunch and she calls the school. They tell her she will have to come to school and give him the Tylenol herself. She does in home day care and had to load up 4 toddlers and schlep them to the high school. Simply nuts.

Exactly! A student cannot use lip balm but they can request a major surgical procedure.

There is a valid reason that the district does not allow the chapstick to be used.

Several years there was an issue with the herpes virus. Sharing of chapsticks increased the spread of the virus.

Requiring a note from a doctor helped to prevent children from sharing contaminated balm and reduced the spread of infection.

I would pull my kid from school with 24 hours. I would enlist every neighbor I could to home school the kids.

Time to go back to the one-room school & the basics.

This might provide the loophole to the zero tolerance policy with respect to weapons. A knife can be identified as an abortion-facilitating instrument and brought to school with the enthusiastic approval of the administration.

So, if a kid HAS herpes but also HAS a note from their doctor to bring chap-stick, everything is fine?

Placing kids IN SCHOOL and allowing them to breathe spreads all sorts of infections.

Educate the kids to stop sharing chap-sticks!

Typical socialist overkill and contempt for the peasantry. Instead of TEACHING the kids about the spread of disease and LIMITING the damage so that sharing it was forbidden, they OUTLAWED chapstick and SHAMED the chiildren.

Stupid plus control freaks = liberals.
