The NFL is hiring four women to serve as advisers in shaping the league's stance on domestic violence, according to a memo from commissioner Roger Goodell to the 32 NFL owners sent Monday.
The full memo, via Daniel Kaplan of the Sports Business Journal, can be read here. The gist of it is that the league attempting to change the outside perception of how it handles domestic violence and, hopefully, an earnest effort to change the actual process internally.

So now the NFL needs to develop a stance on domestic violence?
Isn’t the NFL already against domestic violence, as well as all other criminal activity? Didn’t they deal a severe suspension to Ray Rice? What more need to be done? What am I missing? What are the criteria being used to evaluate all of this?

Yeah, that’s the key, let’s just change “perceptions,” but hold none of the players accountable for acts that would put the average Joe in the slammer. It’s all about the NFL, and the money involved. Can’t have the “gladiators” locked up, it’s bad for business!
It started with bimbo commentators on the sideline, then the locker rooms..m and here you be. Screw American Football... get yourself Setanta or whatever and watch Rugby and Aussie Rules Football... skip the faggoty soccer though.
Now in order to see real men one has to watch Australian Rules Football.

I remember years ago reading an article by a woman who said that the future of sports was women execs/announcers, minorities playing it and mostly white males buying merchandise and tickets to support the prior two. It wasn’t said sarcastically.
In my opinion, woman have always been allowed into the football experience. I know a lot of women who are football fans, but it was on football’s (read men’s) terms. And the woman understood that. They put on the jerseys (cute, by the way), and screamed their lungs out. But now they want to chickafy it, and thereby ruin it. Football is going PC, gay, and chickified. Aren’t there enough places in America for these things?

Looks like the females have already made their mark. Refs are flagging everything more serious than an annoyed look.

Men have the option of filing charges. If they don't because they think that would make them sissies or other men would ridicule them for being sissies, that is the choice of men.
If you (men) want this to change, stand behind your male friends who are in this situation rather than laugh at them.
The day after the Super Bowl, I got whatever hair is left on my scalp trimmed. The place is family operated. There were two males (the owner and me) and three females including one employee. The two males did not watch the game. I watched a Clint Eastwood movie. The three women did watch. One talked incessantly about the advertisements, one talked about how “the players hit too hard” (and I mentioned how football was better and tougher in my youth) and the third woman talked about the butt of the Seattle quarterback. Butts, ads and “too much hitting,” the fans the NFL desires.
I think that is the goal, Rush was on target again.
Plus, if you want to turn America into a third wold country, you have to import a third world sport...soccer
time to stat the real men football league. nfl is over.
