“they pay 7k a year”
Something is VERY wrong with parents spending $7,000 per year for their kids to play hockey, (in my opinion). Much better lessons would be learned with the kids working at McDonalds.
We used to have a Dad sit in the stands and take notes during the game. Then he would call the coach with his “insights”. I had to chuckle. One of the moms said he should have spent more time paying attention to what his daughter was doing under the stands instead of trying to run the team.
A few years later, her twin daughters turned out to be good swimmers. They pulled one of her daughters to give someone else a chance to swim. She was losing it. Her husband and I just looked at each other and rolled our eyes!
“I also considered the possibility that she could have stepped to within a couple of feet and plugged one of them, even if they were piled on top of him.”
It works like this:

More or less what I had in mind.
People being what they are, especially bullies, globs of brain matter hitting the other attackers would likely have freaked them out.
Movies are one thing. Real life blood & guts is very much another.
This comment irritated me. That mealy mouthed notion of "sharing the blame". It's a terrible example of coaching to have nut job parents attack you?? Poor coaching (assuming it was even that) doesn't warrant 6 adult men attempting to murder the coach. There is NO equivalency here, moral or otherwise.
