I have very small ear canal’s child size, so swimmer’s ear infections were frequent until I went to ear plugs for the shower and hair washing. I don’t put any fluids in my ears.
Which are now occupied by twin hearing aids.
Memphis baby Meningitis Outbreak in new borns

I noticed.
I have 3 auto immunes so germs and virus stuff catch my ear and notice quick. I never use doctor office reading material. I try to use paper towels to open the bath room doors after I wash my hands.
We had a appointment this morning early with the audiologist for my new twin hearing aids, we are still in the trail and adjustment phase. Stopped at a BK in a nice neighborhood. The girl behind the counter when I went to the RR, had her head over the FF’s and was pulling on the ends constantly. NOT NETTED. The manager was in the RR, I told her, she took care of the issue. That is a health violation, apparently the same girl was warned just last week for the same offense. Better be glad I’m a kind person, not a health inspector.
I’ve had issues with contaminated pee specimen cups at the doc’s office. I now wipe the cups out with the wipes. Changed internist too.
Our local Walgreen’s doesn’t even have disinfecting wipes to wipe the carts and baskets. All those sick people coming in for medications and prescriptions! I complained to the pharmacy department, but nothing so far.
Would three or four drops bother you? If it is a choice between staying healthy or coming down with a life threatening illness, myself I would opt for a few drops of HP.
Whatever side of your throat bothers you, try that ear first. After a minute or two, if you hear a fizzing sound, the HP is killing bacteria.
There is nothing about newborns in the article you posted. Fungal meningitis is not contagious.
And colds go around all the time. If you are worried about germs everywhere, then stay home or wear gloves and clothing that covers your head, face, arms, torso, legs, etc.
I don’t remember my daddy having wipes of any kind in his pharmacy. But he did have his employees wash down surfaces throughout the day. Maybe there just weren’t so many germs 50 years ago except that we know this cold that is going around now also went around a long time ago.
Have you heard of thieves oil? I just heard of it a few weeks ago. It is intriguing. No idea if it is effective. One woman who told me she uses it and that it is wonderful was also sporting a cold at the time. Lol. She said it was alleviating her symptoms of said bad cold. I am pretty sure the bad cold that it putting folks in the hospital across the country has made its way through our area already.
I had a really bad “summer cold” about 2 months ago.... I wonder if this was it...
Add me to the ‘Bring Out Your Dead’ ping list, please.
