Ebola Toll Tops 2,000, Cases Near 4,000

Geneva - More than 2 000 people have died in the Ebola outbreak in West Africa, the World Health Organisation said on Friday, out of about 4 000 patients thought to have been infected in the three countries worst hit by the disease.
The death toll in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone totalled 2 097 as at 5 Sept, out of 3 944 cases, a WHO document said.
The data did not include patients in Nigeria or Senegal, which have also been affected, nor Democratic Republic of Congo, which has been hit by an unrelated outbreak of the disease.
We need to stop any flights or boats coming from the infected area and here we nee immediate quarantine. This could kill our sweat children.

Yes it is. Seven days ago, Aug 28, case count was 3,069, with 1,552 deaths.

In a few weeks it will hit over 1000 cases per day at this rate.
Its still summer by some definitions, and if you are doing things right they should be “sweat children”.
Best hope now is that it burns out where it is.
Thats still going to kill a large proportion of at least two countries, as its gotten into very dense population areas.
This will be complicated by famine as the local economy will collapse.
Unfortunately at some point the survivors are probably going to flee, and there is no way to stop them.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

Ban all flights from west africa, no more ships from the infected zone until it burns itself out.
If ebola comes here - and kills more than a thousand Americans - we need to de-fund the CDC.... and throw the ‘oh so superior ones’ in jail.
