Don't look now but Obamacare troubles are starting again

We've been focusing a lot on President Obama's foreign policy, from Ukraine to Libya to Syria to Iraq to Israel and Iran.

However, get ready for ObamaCare to make a return engagement to our front pages, and politics as well.

Sally Pipes posted some numbers yesterday that won't make Democrats happy, especially those in tight elections:

"Get ready to pay more for health insurance next year, compliments of Obamacare.

A new analysis from PricewaterhouseCoopers projects that average premiums for policies sold through Obamacare’s exchanges will increase 7.5 percent in 2015.

In nearly one-third of the 29 states that PwC investigated, premiums will rise by double digits. In Indiana, the average increase will be 15.4 percent. In Kansas, it’s 13.6 percent. Florida’s insurance commissioner says premiums are set to climb 13.2 percent."

Everybody warned that once the things obama deferred kicked in, and once people found out how it actually worked for them in the real world, it would take big hits.

Well, the latter has been a coninuing tsunami since January - strengthening as it moves across the nation and time. And the latter is about to hit like a 9 point earth quake. This will be a bigger tsunami.

It’s one of the factors that caused me to change my tag line a couple of months ago.

Not quite everyone...Obama predicted that premiums would immediately decrease by $2500 per year for the average family, and that they would "bend the cost curve". I guess they bent it so far it's going the wrong way.

The “O” administration/s have been a ceaseless stream of bad decisions, followed predictably by horrid consequences.

The frightening thing is that no matter how much of a failure these 8 years will have been…
• Die hard Liberals will NOT get off dead center.
• The MSM will continue their wholesale idolatry.
• Unions will NEVER step away from the trough.
• Young people will NOT consider alternatives.
• The unemployed will NOT see “O’s” policies as the cause of their problems.
• Colleges will continue in their agenda to demonize Conservatism.

And so on and on.....

Starting again? BS - they never stopped - the MSM has just been looking the other way (e.g., it's summertime and it's hot - globull warming!).

Who cares if the cost goes up?
The taxpayer is picking up most of the premium tab anyway.

This will not be an issue for those who are getting 90% or more of their premium covered by taxpayers.

For costs to spiral like this, something is wrong with the formula to begin with.

Tom Cotton in Arkansas needs to run ads 24/7 tying Pryor to obamacare.

Many are finding out that being insured is not the only issue. Finding a doctor who will accept you as a patient is just as big of a problem. During the last year, I lost two primary care physicians when they closed their practice due to the reduced reimbursement rates under Medicare and other insurance operating under Medicare rules. I recently called 23 primary care physicians before I found one willing to take a new patient over age 65 and then could not schedule an initial appointment until December.

Elections have consequences and holding out for the perfect candidate often leads to rule by the most imperfect. Our system is sometime difficult but when enough people get upset things will change. Hopefully we are approaching that point.

And why I’ve been focusing on reducing my “taxable” in come for years.

It’s not even an issue for me.

It’s because as of the first of the year I can go to any doctor that will take my money. And virtually all of them will. And since I’m not insured, it’s a very simple (and shockingly cheap) process.

Actually one of my doctors who closed his practice first instituted a cash policy with office visits costing only $35. I was not only satisfied with that but thrilled. Unfortunately, he could not sustain the cash model because many of his patients required more expensive procedures and Medicare rules did not allow for partial opt out by the physician. I hope it goes well with you. Being flexible and innovative is probably the best way forward, at least for the near future. Staying healthy also is a great strategy.

“policies sold through Obamacare’s exchanges will increase 7.5 percent in 2015.”

You can be absolutely sure that will be touted as “the smallest increase in ______ years”.
