The sad truth remains that 5% of FReepers support 100% of FR. Can you imagine what it would be like if we had 10% support? These things would wrap up in days, not months.
When I joined FR ten years ago, it was not uncommon to git 'er done in 7-10 days. It was less expensive 10 years ago, but, it really shouldn't take two months.
Not everybody can donate. I get that. But, I'm certain that we have some among the 95% that are FReeploading. Harsh words, but I know it's true.
Imagine no FR. No way to get the REAL news that affects us all. No pool of talent to ferret out the real truth. No ability to call BS when we see it.
The list goes on.
We need your help. We need new donors. We need new blood.
If you've never donated, give it a whirl. If you donate once in a while, try monthly donations. It's really painless.
Imagine a Freepathon that lasts days, not months.

Frankly, I think the attacks on fellow freepers for supporting “other” conservatives deters them from donating...relegates them to silence and closed wallets and prevents a real dialogue among patriots — particularly from Texas where oil royalties and “help wanted” signs are making us rich. I’m a monthly donor, but I know I’ve withheld funding in the past because a handful of loudmouths on the site got too mean and unreasonable and literally targeted and bullied me. Really poisoned the environment. Lots of people share/shared my opinion on this. My skin has thickened substantially, but I know many people love and need the site and would donate but feel they are second-class citizens due to Bill Ayers type tactics by a few. Just my input. Still love the site. America needs it. Thank you.

Unfortunately the economy has hurt some FReepers. We have lost some faithful givers and newer posters aren’t taking up the slack. It’s a combination of circumstances.
BUT WHERE THE HELL ELSE CAN YOU GET THE DIRECT NEWS UNFILTERED, DISCUSSED BY SO MANY WITH KNOWLEDGE?...
does anybody remember when we had the space shuttle blowup?.....freepers were on that before anything hit the ground...
being a freeper is a priviledge...
I have been a monthly donor for years. When I received a layoff notice late last year, I reluctantly stopped my monthly donations. I then realized that I still had a roof over my head. I still had food on the table. But I felt so guilty not supporting FreeRepublic. It was not long at all before I resumed my monthly donations.

Spent a decade as a grateful lurker, then became a member. Another decade before I felt brave enough to post.
And then I became convicted that I was taking, but not giving, to one of the most important websites in the world. I happily repented and have become a monthly supporter.
Please consider doing the same - even if it’s a small amount. It quickly adds up.

9/11 was the same. The first plane hit and I signed on FR.
It may never fully recover.
Actually we still have anti-FReepers on site whispering not to donate. Sad but some people simply are filled with hate.
