After winning his 2008 election to the U.S. Senate by the narrowest of margins, Sen. Al Franken starts his 2014 general election campaign with a nine-point lead over Republican challenger Mike McFadden.
According to our exclusive new KSTP/SurveyUSA poll, Franken leads McFadden 51 percent to 42 percent. Independence Party candidate Steve Carlson is at two percent, while two percent favor other candidates and three percent are undecided. The poll has a margin of error of +/- 4.1 percent.

At this point in 2008, Al Franken was trailing by 10 points. This is still winnable, especially if Mike McFadden opens his own wallet.
McFadden seems like Norm Coleman II.
Still better than Weird Al.
This clown is up 10? MN must be a lost cause.
Well, he cheated before .. you were expecting something different ..????????????????
I have to agree with you.
There’s just no excuse for this.
It’s not the vote that counts.........
Doesn’t georgy sore-ass own the SOS of MN?
but who did they poll? how many are felons and how many still use Obama-Phones and use EBT cards at their local porn shop?
Photoshopped? I never can tell. Whatever, it’s disgusting.
That’s correct .. “it’s who counts the votes”.
Tightening up, sweep them all out of the senate.
Repeat after me.
YOU CAN’T FIX STUPID.
Harry Reid will DIE being the Senate Majority Leader.
All hope is lost.
As Rush pointed out today, it’s the only type of poll the MSM will be reporting.
how much longer before Reid finally loses his voice!!
“After winning his 2008 election to the U.S. Senate by the narrowest of margins, Sen. Al Franken starts his 2014 general election campaign with a nine-point lead over Republican challenger Mike McFadden.”
Not surprising. Franken’s an incumbent now, with all the benefits that brings. And it’s pretty clear that Minnesota is more blue than red.
Still, 9 points is not necessarily an insurmountable lead, and Minnesota is not Massachusetts. If the GOP candidate is sharp and runs a good campaign, this one might turn into a nail-biter.
At least until the mysterious discovery of lost and “improperly rejected” ballots start turning up on Franken’s behalf.
*sigh*
McFadden needs to get serious in a hurry. Every one of his ads are lame attempts at humor. They are embarrassing and painful to watch. I have to turn the channel.
Yes, but as much as we don’t like it, the polls tend to be pretty accurate. And MN is a lost cause. What is wrong with those people?
Exactly right.
