'If the IDF Doesn't Crush Hamas We Won't Survive'
Arutz Sheva ^ | 21/8/14 | Benny Toker, Ari Yashar

Posted on 08/21/2014 4:39:52 PM PDT by Eleutheria5

In an exclusive Arutz Sheva interview on Thursday, Hof Ashkelon Regional Council chairman Yair Farjoun said that his region, which has been battered by rockets from the terror enclave of Gaza, cannot continue under the current status quo.

"Out of 160 rockets, 60 fell in our territory - that's a serious blitz," Farjoun commented about the renewed rocket barrage, which began with a breach of the ceasefire on Tuesday around 4 p.m.

The chairman continued "it's incredible to see how people live here by sheer miracles; beside a direct hit on a synagogue, rockets have landed just 200 meters (650 feet) from buildings of the Regional Council. There was a full day of very intensive fire."

The Hof Ashkelon chairman told Arutz Sheva that residents of his Regional Council will not be able to hold on for many months under the current situation of constant rocket fire, interspersed by temporary lulls broken by renewed rocket salvos.

"We must not enter a state of attrition that could stretch into September and October, because they will continue to produce rockets and in this way hold an entire population captive," said Farjoun.

Regarding the future of Operation Protective Edge, Farjoun remarked "if there will be an order for the army to keep on going and pulverize Hamas until militarily subduing them, we'll be able to last another month, but if not and it goes on three months, the residents will not be able to survive."

Isn’t “crush” disproportionate?

I’m afraid there is no way to completely crush Hamas unless if you kill every Palestinian.

If you kill every member of Hamas and every rocket they have, there’ll be another 50,000 angry Palestinians ready to become Hamas, and more rockets smuggled in from neighboring Arab countries.

The solution is, of course, MORE BOMBS, BIGGER BOMBS.

So, when are the nukes going to be dropped?
Women, children, the aged, sick, etc.? Who cares? They are just....oh never mind, you get the drift.

My point: there is NO solution, ever, for ANYone over there.

OK. Pulverize? Decimate? Obliterate? Annihilate?

Don't think that that hasn't been thought of.
God gave those Arabs all the petroleum and natural gas in the world and the WEST is the biggest and most consistent user of them.

Actually, Indonesia has huge oil fields too, but they ALSO are Muslims.

Those bigger and meaner bombs would ultimately destroy the petroleum and natural gas fields too. THAT is the "ultimate" problem.

OR the petroleum/natural gas countries might even destroy their own fields to destroy what the West wants. I can imagine THAT scenario too.

Is it all black and white or are these things worth considering? Destroying all Palestinians sounds very Nazi.

The Israelis are beginning to realize the enormity of their strategic error. Allowing nearly two million hostile Palestinians to establish a self governing militarized enclave adjacent to Israel was lunacy. The Israelis unless they completely correct this mistake, will fight this battle over and over again. The missiles will only become more sophisticated and stealthy. It will be virtually impossible to screen all the “humanitarian” aid coming into Gaza or stop smuggling along the Egyptian-Gaza border.

Just destroy the oil fields(all of them) It will take a couple decades to recover and in the meantime our oil will be worth so much more and we’ll transition to natural gas and other alternative fuels. Sound crazy?

I am sure you know this, but your comment was a good post that I could link from..

The concept of Palestine as a country, people, whatever, is a lie.

[a google search brought up the following, I thought it was good. I dont know anything about the rest of the website, so caveat lector]

There Was Never A Country Called Palestine
http://www.targetofopportunity.com/palestinian_truth.htm

If you consider Palestine to be a “Sovereign” and “Independent” country that goes back through most of recorded history as many would have you to believe, then a few questions need to be answered:

•When was it founded and by whom?
•What were its borders?
•What was its capital?
•Who was the President?
•What was its form of government?
•What were its major cities?
•What constituted the basis of its economy?
•Who was the Palestinian leader before Yasser Arafat?
•Was Palestine ever recognized by a country whose existence, at that time or now, leaves no room for interpretation?
•What was the language of the country of Palestine?
•What was the prevalent religion of the country of Palestine?
•What was the name of its currency and what was the approximate exchange rate of the Palestinian monetary unit against the US dollar, German mark, GB pound, or Japanese yen on any particular date?
•And, finally, since there is no such country today, what caused its demise and when did it occur?

How many rockets would Obama tolerate over the WH fence? I mean it’s not quite a blitz, but it’s intolerable.

Every night bar one for ten solid weeks, from 7 September to 14 November 1940, London was attacked by an average of 160 bombers.

Yes, insane, unreasonable, stupid, idiotic, foolish and so on.

WHY destroy God's gifts to us?

BTW, natural gas comes from those petroleum fields that you would destroy. Natural gas ALWAYS comes up with the petroleum.
ARAMCO, the Arabian American Oil Company used to BURN OFF the natural gas. Saudi Arabia looked like a Christmas tree at night from the sky.
Smarter heads finally prevailed and the natural gas was CAPTURED and ... liquified. Saudi Arabia has some the the LARGEST LNG (liquified natural gas) plants on the planet.

Also, in 1982 the Saudi king bought out all the oil and gas rights from ARAMCO so now the Saudis own their own resources again. They had sold them to ARAMCO in the 1920's.

Also WHAT "what alternative fuels? Coal? Blueberries?
Coal is a filthy fuel and would make the world sick.

I don't think you have a full grasp of the petroleum business. There's no reason why you should.
We lived over there for five years and learned something about the "awl bidness" (Texas pronunciation).
My husband worked in the LNG business as California itself had some extensive gas fields for a while in central California. He was a mechanical engineer (They can do anything.) and he applied for and got the job with the gas business IN the KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia).
The rest is history.
