Security Council Urges Return to Ceasefire Talks

The United Nations Security Council on Wednesday urged Israel and the Palestinian Arabs to return to the negotiating table to quickly agree on a lasting truce in Gaza.

In a unanimously adopted statement quoted by AFP, the 15-member council "offered full support to the Egyptian initiative and called upon the parties to resume negotiations to urgently reach a sustainable and lasting ceasefire."

The statement drafted by France was agreed after negotiations in Cairo teetered on the verge of collapse amid a fresh flare-up of violence.

The measure fell short of a full resolution, but diplomats signaled they would be ready to move toward a stronger response if the Egyptian-led peace track hit a dead end.

"The urgency today was to respond to the fact that the talks appear to be breaking down and there has been a resumption of hostilities, and it was important for the Security Council to respond to that," said British Ambassador Mark Lyall Grant, whose country holds the council presidency, according to AFP.

Arabic thing. Hold conferences until your eyes bug out, even without hope of accomplishing anything. Raphael Patai calls it Conferencyitis. Apparently contagious.

The islamonazis won’t agree to disarm and live peacefully. So more talking is useless. Israel needs to stop being so incredibly “ humanitarian”. That’s not what war is about. Destroy the enemy before it figures out how to hurt you further. Kill the gaza and the other islamonazis, move the socalled civilians that support and defend the enemy terrorists out , or kill them too . Period.

Very simple solution. Israel claims ISIS is operating out of Gaza and they level the place.

Now just a cotton pickin’ minit here. Let’s be fair. What on earth do negotiations and cease fires have to do with peace? Israel negotiating for another cease fire will keep Saudi Arabia stable, and give the west more cheap oil, because that way the Saudi princes will prove their worth by forcing the west to force Israel to smack its own self in the face again, so the Wahhabi nut jobs that the Saudis themselves fund will let them continue to stay fat. Hardly useless, those talks.
