Beyond Race-baiting in Ferguson
American Thinker ^ | 8/19/2014 | Carol Brown

Following events in Ferguson, Missouri, I’ve been wondering: Where are the voices of black leaders who are not race baiters? Most recently, I found three such voices.

Larry Elder was spot on as a member of a CNN panel. The clip is short (1.5 minutes) and well worth a listen. Elder who packs a lot into that short span of time ended with this:

I hear people talk about how the Ferguson Police Department does not represent the city. So what? Are you saying that because the city has a certain racial composition you therefore can’t represent the people? If that’s the argument, the logical extension is Obama should never be president because black people are just thirteen percent of the country. That’s ridiculous...

Jason Riley was part of a panel on Fox News Special Report. He was brilliant. In just three and a half minutes, he cut to the core of multiple key issues. Among other things, Riley tore into Obama’s statement that black criminality stems from poverty and a racist criminal justice system. Riley called this “nonsense” and “a dodge” that avoids addressing the root causes of criminal behavior in the black community. He also shredded the race hustler’s narrative that black men live in fear of being shot by the police, noting the risk is not getting shot by a police officer.

The real difficulty is not getting shot by other black people if you are a young black man in these neighborhoods…Cops are not the problem. Cops are not producing these black bodies in the morgues every week-end in Chicago, New York and Detroit and so forth.

Has it occurred to no one that the job of the cops is to represent the LAWS.

Not any ethnic group.

If the laws are not popular, then the problem is with the electorate not voting for the proper people.

Obama can’t control black men getting killed every day in Chicago but he’s decided he can in Ferguson? Isn’t Chicago his own home town? He obviously hates black people in Chicago.

I would submit that Blacks have systematically been exempted from all of the duties/responsibilities of citizens in a developed culture due to the “legacy of slavery” they must endure. Accordingly, to expect Blacks to behave in a civilized manner, or to conform to the mores of the dominant culture, is racist.

The black citizens voted for (or failed to vote) for a white mayor and city council.

The police department does not reflect the racial makeup of the city. Guess what? None of the thirty or so agencies directly around Ferguson do, most are majority white with white police chiefs.

Why? Because black kids don’t want to be police.

That lie about black men being afraid of being shot by a cop is pull bullsh*t...

If a black man’s going to be shot it’ll happen at the hands of another black man. Check out Chicago crime statistics. Or Crime Stats in ANY city or State.

Obama and Holder are attempting to pit the races against each in order to gin up the vote - or cause a race war. I guess if you can’t win being honest you might as well try the Chicago way... cheat, lie, steal, intimidate.

These are the fruits of “Diversity Training”, all those faculties in Universities for African-American Studies, all those Afro-Clubs and Services, all that Diversity Double talk, all that Political Correctness, Sensitivity Training, Multi-Ethnic blah, blah and Advanced courses Multicultural Underwater Basket weaving accredited courses being oiffered at hundreds of campuses around the USA.

What is the net result of all of this investiture? Crap.

The greater, non-African American society is supposed to “understand” the “ills” and past “errors” of their ways in the past and re-compensate for all those sins.

After 40 years of this nonsense, what do we get? Exactly what we had in 1967 Detroit, Watts, Chicago, etc. In other words, with all that Multicultural Training and propaganda, the Black Man is STILL angry.

Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are STILL playing the Victim-hood and Race cards while they roll in the cash of a life lived as blood suckers on the African American community itself!

Anybody apologizing yet, I mean, besides the President?

************
In post-Constitutional America laws are no longer written by the people sent to DC by the electorate. Laws are now issued and decreed by arbitrary executive orders, through federal agency “regulations”, selective federal support for for special interests, and even through the process of ignorning “unpopular” laws on the books. The legislative process as we once knew it is essentially dead.

We got an endless stream of open-ended spending and “affirmative action” on incalculable diversity programs that had virtually no defined progress measurement metrics, performance incentives, program exit strategies, or sunset provisions. Just endlessly throwing lots of money at the problems and a design to create a culture of dependency. What could go wrong?

Its no surprise they haven’t worked as intended. These programs were nothing but political correctness run amuck and were destined to fail thanks to liberals who based all their policies on resentment and victimhood.

Killing each other must be one of those cultural things we’re not supposed to criticize.

You are correct in-so-far as you go, but federal law is not what is at stake in Furgason.

Local law and local law enforcement practices are.

Looting, self defense, murder and general mayhem are local matters.

That is reason it is a very bad mistake to bring in the guard. That gives the feds more influence.

What should have happened is that the local cops should have called in the greater St. Louis cops and maybe a couple of the neighboring sheriff departments.

That would have made it harder for the likes of Holder.

Good post. I agree. It shouldn’t be federalized. But the unfortunate reality is that nearly everything is these days.

Looting seems more profitable than working, and without all the daily commuting hassels. ;)

They want jobs there in Ferguson.

Then maybe they shouldn't have looted and destroyed all those businesses!

It is interesting that there are certain populations that REFUSE to grow up, take responsibility and PROGRESS.

African-Americans (AA)
Muslim Arabs (MA)

Both of these groups are stuck in the past and refuse to improve their condition.

AA are locked into 1670-1865 and have traditionally used the Church and MLK style Civil Disobedience to obtain Civil Rights which was due them.

MA are locked into the year 670AD and have traditionally used tribal Islamic warfare and Jihad to conquer lands and subjugate and kill other peoples.

AA claim that no Federal programs really addressed the issues and empowered them to shape their own destiny.

MA claim that the West and Imperial powers never addressed their religious and national aspirations to establish a Caliphate.

AA say they're full of pent up anger and rage because advancement has not been handed to them on a silver platter.

MA say say they're full of pent up anger and rage because advancement has not been handed to them on a silver platter.

AA blame everybody else for their problems and explode in anger when they are “oppressed”, so they riot.

MA blame everybody else for their problems and explode in anger when they are “oppressed”, so they riot.

AA are incapable of looking from within and actually dealing, honestly with their own faults...they blame the White man.

MA are incapable of looking from within and actually dealing, honestly with their own faults...they blame the Jews and Christians.

AA turn to movements like the Black Panthers and Islam in order to sober up, take some responsibility and try to attack the problem from a losing angle.

MA AA turn to movements like the AL-Qaieda, ISIS, HAMAS and Islam in order to sober up, take some responsibility and try to attack the problem from a losing angle.

In short, nothing works for them because they won't take responsibility for their miserable lives.
