Mostly they were for fat people apparently too lazy to walk. Sad to say, but it sure seemed like it. As it does in those sad times I visit Walmart. My 93 year old arthritic mother refuses to use an electric cart while shopping, choosing to push a cart and it helps support her. She says, "I Don't want people to think I'm lazy".
