Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon declared a curfew Saturday in the city of Ferguson and a state of emergency after fresh violence erupted overnight amid public anger over the shooting death of a young unarmed black man by a white police officer..
The curfew will run from midnight to 5 a.m., starting tonight.
“This is a test,” Nixon said at a news conference, saying “the eyes of the world” are watching to see how the city handles the aftermath of the Aug. 9 shooting of Michael Brown.
The announcement comes after community activists had taken to the streets and social media Saturday in hopes of preventing another night of looting and violence in Ferguson, Mo., after at least three business fell victim to a predawn rampage by young men who targeted local stores as others tried desperately to stop them.

This is ridiculous. Fox News should cut away from this so-called “press conference”, which is nothing more than a bunch of people yelling so that no questions can be asked, no statements made, and no information shared.

Declare a curfew.
Invite business owners to guard their businesses.
Declare that night time shootings will not be prosecuted.
Prediction: no looting.

I don’t think they can enforce a Curfew without bullets flying. These folks won’t be calmed down until the have a public hanging of the cop who shot “Bad Leroy Brown”.
Nixon and the authorities are being too solicitous to these looters and criminals who only see it as weakness. This has morphed from being about the death of an individual to a mob versus the police and white authority. The urban areas of this country are tinderboxes and it only takes a spark to set off a conflagration. Sharpton, Jackson, Holder, Clay, and Obama are happy to set things ablaze for political advantage and money. They will do everything they can to prolong it.
The only real curfew is reload weapons with real bullets. And shoot rock and cocktail throwers. America has been too soft on rioters. Peaceful demonstrations are a different animal. This is time for Americas to realize that criminal acts will be treated harshly.

Shooting looters on the spot regardless of sex, age or race has always put a stop to looting going way back. Napoleon shot (pun intended) to fame and fortune for giving the rioters in Paris a “small whiff of grape-shot”. Word that looters are being shot travels quickly among the looters.
I fear they have much more devious intentions,,, traitors to decent citizens..
County police are laughing their asses off. The “nice guy” state police were supposed to diffuse tensions but instead lost control of the situation.
If I was the head of the county force, I would refuse to reengage as any tactical advantage has been lost to the bumbling state police. Let them handle it and take all the abuse. Just sit back and enjoy the show since they don’t need your help.
Anyone caught looting should have their EBT cards revoked for life.
