FERGUSON, Missouri — Reporters trying to cover the renewed chaos in this town faced a new threat on Friday: the demonstrators themselves.
Print, video and photo-journalists were all repeatedly and aggressively threatened and harassed when attempting to photograph or videotape any of the looting or property destruction. Many of the demonstrators expressed concern about being identified by police or told reporters that the looting was none of their concern.
Police largely remained on the sidelines on Friday and into the dawn hours of Saturday morning as demonstrators descended on a number of businesses in Ferguson — pulling alcohol, lottery tickets, and merchandise from the vandalized stores.
Reporters were repeatedly and forcefully told to move away, turn around, put down their cameras or simply to leave the area when trying to get close enough to film the scenes of destruction and theft. Most reporters on the scene were simply recording the events as they unfolded — making no effort to interfere or interview participants in the rioting.
Many of the looters carried molotov cocktails and wore bandanas over their faces to conceal their identity. Multiple reporters said demonstrators made repeated threats about being armed or returning with weapons — but no journalist on the scene that POLITICO spoke with reported seeing a weapon.

No, guess not. So let's steal everything, burn it up and blame it all on slavery that a couple of hundred thousand lost their lives over to stop it over 150 years ago. Is there any race that has not had injustices done to them on this planet? Is there any race ever that has felt so entitled to freebies and demanded more under the constant threat of riot?

I don’t feel sorry for them one iota. How is anyone supposed to feel sorry for people who spend their lives leeching off the labor of other people, demanding more of it, and also demanding the right to prey upon those same people with impunity?
They have me convinced that they CANNOT TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES, since they have told us that over and over by their ACTIONS!!! They are to be PITIED.
I don’t pity anyone who considers me and mine (however far I want to extend that “mine”, even up to tribally, as they do) to be easy pickings and prey, especially when they have the full weight of government and media on their side also bearing down on me and mine.
Which might be why there is so much opposition to Voter ID.
I think a lot of young black men do not have ID. Not because they are too lazy to get it, but because they do not want their pictures in a government database, associated with their real, verified names, and able to be associated with their extended families.
Yes, thinking last Sunday nites riot would have been enough for those who would have to go to work Monday morning, but some of these folks went on a rampage all week.
No opportunities, just as we have said all along about the Democrat’s Stimulus bill, tax credits and shovel ready jobs, wasn’t broad enough as actual tax cuts would have been. More facts the media have omitted.
But gaining 2 part-time jobs to losing 1 full-time job sure makes the media gush about the Recession being fixed...
It doesn’t seem to me that the kind of people who would use any excuse at the drop of a pin (such as a hurricane, etc) to loot and steal from the productive (such as business owners i.e. employers) are overly concerned with jobs in the first place. They have government to redistribute the fruit of your labor and mine to them, why would they care about working? They can steal and sling dope to fill in any gaps, as our redistributed labor isn’t enough for them to live the lives they feel entitled to live.
Think about it-we are working for these people. Who’s the slave here?

So the police just pulled back and let them loot??-what are the police even there for? If they are afraid to enforce the law and refuse to enforce the law then they should just go home and let dog eat dog. This is a prime example of what will happen when shtf- you are responsible for your own self and property. That is the reason you must be armed to protect yourself from lawless animals or become a helpless victim. If individuals choose to act like animals then they should be expected to be treated like animals. Curfew, tear gas, real bullets, no masked thugs roaming the streets-enough is enough-or just forget about it, set up a perimeter , and go back in a few months. After all the looting and the ebt cards don’t work, they will want millions to rebuild because obammy let them down and their gggg grand parents were slaves. Let the thugs set up their own thug caliphate with their own police force and entitlement programs. Crap I’m so sick of this idiocy.
Need to figure out what the ticket numbers were and announce some nice prizes on TV.

So the suddenly the journalists who have encouraged all this are suddenly reporters when they start getting a small taste of what they have created. Had they been reporters from the git go and only given out verified facts this situation would have been far calmer.

There aren’t enough provisions for them to keep their “army” in the field (and they only forage within sight of the street).
These rioters are exposing the truth about the plight of our unemployable, unassimilated underclass; they haven’t benefited under Obama, and their freebies are getting them less than they used because of the unreported inflation we’ve been dealing with for years.
They are miserable, hopeless people, and nobody knows it more than the whites paid to “administer” them.
