Extremist fighters swarmed into a besieged Yazidi village Friday and killed or captured dozens of residents, according to Yazidis and Kurdish commanders, offering a reminder that the ancient minority sect is still in danger despite President Obama’s conclusion that the risk had passed for a group stranded on Mount Sinjar.
The alleged killings came a day after Obama called off plans for a military evacuation of Yazidis trapped on Mount Sinjar, saying they were no longer at risk.
But although the airstrikes appear to have helped those trapped on the mountain reach safety, people who did not join the initial exodus are still at risk, Yazidis say.

It will be literally He’ll on Earth for those who are captured by these savages. I would pray for death rather than that kind of life.

Some Yazidis chose not to leave the mountain cuz they believed crisis isn’t over. And it won’t be until IS is completely disintegrated. This is a long term war. We can’t claim victory unless no more IS or any type of Islamist. There have been talks to try regroup the Sahwa to help fight IS now that Iraq has a new PM. I don’t know if this is feasible.
Syrian Kurds had more to do with helping the Yazidi off of the mountains. Clearly, whenever ISIS find Yazidi they’ll kill them. I believe our best efforts to route ISIS are to arm the Kurds with newer and better weapons and use airpower to take out ISIS heavy weapons and transport vehicles. Once the playing field is leveled, the Kurds will finish the job.
When Obama-the-lying-Moslem said the attacks were “over”,
THAT was the ‘green light” to his ISIS troops to attack.

You’re right. Syrian Kurds are also known as PKK. They’ve been fight IS in Iraq too last couple of months helping Peshmerga. I read many Kurds are now wanting the US to remove PKK from its list of ‘terrorist grps’.
