Those traffic cones are right next to where the suspect dropped, which I believe is about 40 feet from a police vehicle which appears to be behind the police crime scene tape.
This would seem to suggest the officer made his way from his vehicle towards where the suspect, where the suspect took the head shot....
Unless the guy’s close-to-last Facebook comment really was “If I leave this earth today, at least you’ll know I care about others more than I cared about my damn self.”, as claimed in one article - and his last “heroic” act was to start the “revolution” by goading an officer into killing him and then having his friend lie about it so the riots could start...
Or if he was high on something and had delusions about his own capabilities...
Unfortunately, even if he is exonerated, his career as a police officer is over. He would never be able to work in Ferguson again ... he would be a marked man. No other police force would likely take him on because of this incident and the microscope he and they would be under 24/7.
Saw a post on FB that the officer involved was black and then it was retracted. Checking to see if there were two officers with the same name.
The name of the officer involved was the same name as a policeman involved in promoting the hiring or more black policemen and spoke at several community events

His Chief of Police has contradicted him and said that the officer did not know about the robbery when he stopped Brown. Either the friend is lying or the officer is being set up by his departmental brass to take a fall.

My thought if this is a legit shoot, is there was the incident at or inside the vehicle, cops gun goes off in the struggle.
Suspect exits the vehicle, moves away from the vehicle...Cop exits the vehicle and moves towards the suspect telling him to halt.....Suspect stops, words exchanged and suspect runs back towards the officer...
As suspect runs back towards the officer, he opens up, dropped the suspect with the final head shot...This would be within a few feet of the cone markers, about 40’ from the police vehicle.
Those traffic cone evidence markers are within about 5 feet of the body....BTW there is ONE more marker further back towards the police vehicle, only about, 15’ from the vehicle..

Wilson was just off a response to a medical issue. That is why the ambulance was so close.
Those two data points are not necessarily contradictory. Cop was dispatched to the scene because a guy was walking in the middle of the road (police chief’s report). He wasn’t sent there because of a robbery. But then as he gets there he gets the report about the robbery. If a store in the area was robbed the units in the area would have likely been notified

About the interview. Did Dana ask or did Josie say if the cop is black or white?
