Palin backs Tea Party favorite Joe Miller for Alaska GOP Senate nod

Published August 15, 2014

Sarah Palin is throwing her support behind Tea Party favorite Joe Miller in the looming Republican primary for the Alaska Senate race.

The former Alaska governor and GOP vice presidential nominee announced her support Friday in a written statement, provided to Fox News.

The statement said:

"To restore liberty, to defend our Constitution, to build American exceptionalism, we must send fighters to the U.S. Senate who will stop Barack Obama's fundamental transformation of the nation we love. The status quo has got to go, and in Alaska the man who understands this key to our state and country's future also has the guts, wisdom, experience and optimism to fight for what is right -- and win.

"We said we'd send the good guys in Washington their reinforcements...

Palin hasn’t forgotten.

You don’t endorse someone you’re enthusiastically behind four days before the Primary.

She stumped for this dweeb in 2010 and she’s still pulling the blade out of her back that his Huckabee staffers put there.

As I wrote over at C4P, Palin has Reagan’s charm and Nixon’s cunning.

I hope he gets it this time. The GOPe cheated him out of it the last time.

Leftism has to cheat, Republican and Democrat.

They have to cheat because liberals are the minority, and liberalism represents maybe a third of real Americans.

Yeah. Beside, Palin likes him, so that’s enough to make you say “No thanks.”

As I wrote over at C4P, Palin has Reagan’s charm and Nixon’s cunning.

What kinda cracks me up is that in 2012, anybody who didn't get behind Romney was a purist.

Palin, for all her flaws, is somebody who speaks MY mind politically, more than any other politician on the scene for as long as I can remember, with some exceptions. But Palin speaks for me every time I read her essays. She's got flaws and she's not perfect, but man -- she sure speaks for me. If she endorses a candidate, I'm listening.

There are many here who probably called me a purist in 2012 for rejecting Romney, shaking their fingers at me, saying, "You're making perfection the enemy of the good!"

Uh huh.

So when she told everyone we had to get rid of the bamster over all, no matter what, that we needed to get out and vote for Romney, what did you do? You told everyone to not vote for him.

Good job moron. Way to be consistent. Y'all and your ilk are pathetic.

That’s quite an endorsement. I wish Mr. Miller a decisive victory and all the success in the world.

That would be great to have a good conservative as Senator from Alaska!

Thank you so much for illustrating an example of how I am not letting the perfect be the enemy of the good. Palin let me down with that "endorsement" of Romney. It was wrong then, and it's wrong now.

But I'm not looking for perfection. I'll settle for good. Palin is good enough for me. Romney, on the other hand, was voting to advance leftism in both parties.

And had your guy won -- yes, your guy if you voted for him and urged others to vote for him -- and he was into his second year of using a Republican administration to advance 90 percent of Obama's leftism, from nationalized health care to gay marriage, on the REPUBLICAN dime --

-- you, moron, would be here wailing that you didn't vote for that!

Yes. You DID.

Horrible selection, Miller trails Begich by double digits and has no money.

He’s running third in all primary polls, I hope he stays there.

LOL probably some, I dunno.

But here is info from his latest email:

Sarah Palin has just announced her endorsement of my candidacy. On Fox News earlier today she said, "To restore liberty, to defend our Constitution, to build American exceptionalism, we must send fighters to the U.S. Senate who will stop Barack Obama's fundamental transformation of the nation we love. The status quo has got to go, and in Alaska the man who understands this key to our state and country's future also has the guts, wisdom, experience and optimism to fight for what is right -- and win.

"We said we'd send the good guys in Washington their reinforcements, so, Alaska, here we go! Vote for Joe Miller on Tuesday and shake off the liberal stronghold so we can get on the right track."

I am counting on patriotic Americans like you to help us seal the deal and bring home a win on Tuesday!

I believe one reason we are seeing such a groundswell of support and endorsements as the election nears is because of what Alaskans have seen during the debates. My opponents are hedging on issues like protecting the unborn (neither was willing to support Rand Paul's Life at Conception Act in the debate last night), amnesty, climate change, whether Barack Obama has committed impeachable offenses, and the list goes on...

In a final debate last night, all the candidates were asked to name one of their favorite songs, and I picked Skillet's "Awake and Alive," with its lyrics, "I'll stand my ground and never back down." I will not back down in the fight to restore our freedom. I will join with reformers like Ted Cruz and Mike Lee to help change the direction of Washington, DC. I need your help to make that happen.

Also, if you know anyone who is undecided in this race, please share with them this candidate comparison. Click HERE. Thank you!

Joe is endorsed by Alaska Right to Life, Gun Owners of America, National Association for Gun Rights, Congressman Thomas Massie, Gen. William "Jerry" Boykin (Ret.), Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Conservative Patriots Group, Alaska Republican Assembly, Conservative Campaign Committee, Lars Larson, Anchorage Tea Party, Combat Veterans for Congress, and others.

No thanks. Miller ran a terrible campaign last time and I see no reason to think he is anyway prepared to defeat Begich in what could be a tough general election. At least he has now said he will support the eventual nominee.

Yep.

Those who stayed home, allowing the anti-American Marxist to maintain office, believing they were the same are stupid beyond belief.

They all have blood on their hands. The world is on fire, our nation is on fire, and it ain't Romney who did this moron.

How can anyone be this dumb?
