The United States has asked European countries to supply arms and ammunition to Kurdish forces fighting jihadists of the Islamic State (IS) in Iraq, signalling a widening of the international role in the conflict.
The US has requested the arms in telephone calls with several European countries, seeking help for Peshmerga fighters of Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdish region who are outgunned by IS militants.
Several European countries have announced plans to send arms or ammunition, with France saying it will supply arms in response to a request from Iraq's Kurdish leadership.

You know, personally I am not one for our country being the world’s police force, especially as we see our own country losing its way extremely thoroughly and considering carefully its current “leaders”.
However in this case of ISIS...these people need to be eradicated from the face of this planet with extreme prejudice, right now, and by any means necessary.

I am not aware of what is described in that. I am going to need to educate myself and read that carefully.
Let me just comment generally speaking. Throughout his entire history, man has tried to understand his existence here by way of many varied belief systems and religions.
Alas, from time to time, one group or another can become a bit zealous in such a system, and this can lead to very bad times.
We all come to our belief systems in different ways, and we all hold them dear and to be true. But it needs to end gently there.
None of us knows the true answer as a 100.00% fact. To tell others you must believe as I do and only as I do or I will torture you and kill you makes us monsters, not men.
We will all have the answer to our question at our end, but not before then. That answer was meant to be elusive to us by design.
For my own part, I believe that my Lord Jesus Christ created me and sent me into this world with a specific purpose which I am not sure that I have yet found.
