Kiev fired two SS-21 ballistic missiles at Donetsk today, killing a bunch of civilians, and the Russians are PO’d about it, to say the least.

The damage has been done. Europe’s economy is tumbling. Ukraine’s currency is in shambles, at a point that the IMF will not be able to bail it out without putting its other member economies at risk. Russia got the Crimea for low cost to itself. Russia does NOT want Ukraine right now as it will damage the rest of the Customs Union. And, Russia can come back for the rest of Ukraine when it suits itself.
So his service to queen Putin wasn't a total waste of time.

IMUO, the first recon detachment just went across. Reporters are noting several other Russian vehicles moving up to the border, but not in “Invasion force” size.
Reports that the “uspenka” border post is again under rebel control.
If true, all of the UK forces currently fighting around Krasni Luch, and “Snow” are cut off, and a new pocket has formed.
