Robin Williams was beloved by the U.S. military, perhaps even more so than by the American public. He carried Bob Hope

Not directly related but when Good Morning Vietnam was popular, the Dems wanted to bring the real life DJ to the convention thinking he’d be a Democrat. When they found out he was a Republican he was uninvited. They bought more into the Williams character than the real life guy.
What a decent guy...He REALLY loved our military..almost tearing up at times.
May God have mercy on his soul.
That’s interesting.....thanks.
Can’t get into his mind set but with all the BULLSHlT happening lately I almost can’t blame him for his exit.
I am trying to hang on for real change or as I would call it FOLLOWING THE CONSTITUTION!
This world leaves a lot to be desired.
Time to burn some shlt down and soon!
I am so sorry and will keep you and your family in my prayers.
I hope that peace is yours.
It sounds to me like divorce court had a large part of doing him in. Not sure what his money troubles were but divorce courts shouldn’t assume that income is always going to remain high.
I think there should be a maximum alimony and a maximum per child child support amount, that is not based on income.
You sum it up well.
wow..powerful post...I so agree.Well put.
LOL
We live in a fallen world, and it is fallen by our own sin. God came to earth in the flesh, and endured torture and murder on a cross for you, me, and everyone else. For that, I give Him the praise he has earned. Evil will suffer ultimate defeat someday, but until then the war rages, all around us and within each of us. The demons scatter at the sound of the name of Jesus. They actually do.
I didn’t know until today, he had open heart surgery and that can kick in depression, especially if it has been there. Depression can create a “tunnel” and the person literally sees no way out of the tunnel.
In feeling this loss, I too miss the sweetness and kindness and love he had for others...the comments of his friends were amazing across the board. In this time where we have to watch this mean, nasty and self centered man in the white House, it highlights even more the decency of someone like Williams.
Thanks, very nice of you. God gives me peace, although the storms of life do tend to arise now and then for all of us. I wish I could have spent 5 minutes with a man like Williams the night before he took his own life.
Amen to your post. I feel the same way.
I'll be honest, very few celebrity deaths affect me but yesterday's news of Robin Williams' suicide hit me like a punch in the gut.
At 45, I feel like I grew up with him always around. I can remember as a child laughing hysterically to Mork and Mindy and as I grew older, his standup routines set the bar. In his prime, he was the best standup comic that ever took the stage. And as I entered adulthood, his dramatic rolls solidified that he was just an enormous talent. And by virtually all accounts, he was a kind and generous man.
Sure, I knew he had demons; cocaine, alcohol, manic depressiveness, marital infidelities. We all knew. He was a flawed human being, like many of us. I just figured as he grew older, he had put his demons to rest. I think everyone did.
In my heart I truly believe that the world is a little better place because he was in it and it is now a little lesser place as he's gone.
