UN Gaza Probe Head: Me? Anti-Israel?

Prof. William Schabas, a Canadian law professor chosen to helm a United Nations commission examining possible war crimes in Gaza scoffed Monday at charges he's biased against Israel, but his past utterances leave little doubt as to his lack of objectivity.

According to the Canadian Press, Schabas once suggested in a speech that he believes Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu should be "in the dock of an international court." He also wrote in a law journal article that the Israeli prime minister could be regarded as "the single individual most likely to threaten the survival of Israel."

"The suggestion that I'm anti-Israel is absurd," Schabas said Monday in a CBC interview from Toronto, pointing out that he's on the editorial board of the Israel Law Review.

Schabas, 63, currently works as an international law professor at Middlesex University in England, and is one of three lawyers who were tapped to investigate any violations of international humanitarian and human rights law in Gaza.

Hours after the appointments were announced Monday, Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird used his Twitter account to voice his disdain for them.

I’m surprised Mahmoud Ahmadinejad didn’t get the job.

Israel does not shoot unless shot upon. What part of that do you not understand, sir?

UN: Israel GUILTY! GUILTY! GUILTY!

Israel: Wait a minute, the probe has not been started yet.

UN: GUILTY!, GUILTY! GUILTY!...

Israel: What about a fair and balanced panel?

UN: GUILTY!, GUILTY! GUILTY!...

Israel: Why have you reached a guilty verdict BEFORE the investigation and while we're at it, why are we being judged differently from every other nation state on the planet?

UN: GUILTY!, GUILTY! GUILTY!...

Israel: What about HAMAS’s stated aim to carry out REAL genocide on us?

UN: GUILTY!, GUILTY! GUILTY!...

Israel: What about HAMAS’s use of human shields and our attempts to provide them with notices before attacking?

UN: GUILTY!, GUILTY! GUILTY!...

In short, the UN, since 1948 has done it's best to cancel it's creation of the only Jewish State in the world. It has lost all morality and fair judgment. It should be disbanded or set up shop in ISIS land.

The UN, like its predecessor, the “League of Nations” is a complete failure. Its only reason for its existence is to keep itself in existence, try and make itself relevant, and most importantly, EXTRACT A WAGE FROM A COUNTRY THAT PAYS 22 PERCENT OF THE AGENCIES FUNDING—THAT BEING THE US. Now you know the rest of the story.. 22% is 22 % too much.

One of the worst appendages of the UN is UNWRA. This agency should have been disbanded in 1953 but continues it's self-serving mission of staying employed with hundreds of PLO and HAMAS terrorists, oops, I mean employees.
For aiding and abetting terror, they should be shelled until nothing is left of them.

This fellow wrote a book back in 2003 titled “The Abolition of the Death Penalty in International Law” . . . he’s a definite left-wing academic kook with no real-world experience.

He sounds like a typical left wing piece of excrement. No doubt he is one of Obama's butt boys.

The U.N. just wants the Israelis to go back to the pre-1948 boundaries.

I’m surprised Mahmoud Ahmadinejad didn’t get the job.

They probably offered it to him first.
