I make money on bios but I usually sell too quickly. I settle for some quick cash rather than cashing a lot bigger paycheck by holding a little longer. I have some MACK and ARWR and am ahead a comfortable amount on each. I just hate to get too heavy in one sector so I hold off on others.
I got back in QQQ.
Me too, in fact I've actually changed evolved my strategy to buy twice as much of the fund so I could have twice the NASDAQ as I do the S&P --I got SPY also. These etf's are a new kind of adventure for me so I'm experimenting w/ new rules.
The two stocks I've gotten are BIIB (biotech) and GPK (packaging), though as far as sector strength goes the biotech shows a lot more promise.

Is it just me or does it seem like our government is becoming shakedown artists?
They did the same thing to UPS a few months back. They settled because it would cost more to fight it. This is Chicago-style extortion from Holder.
A Senior Econ at the FED isn’t watching money velocity? It truly is amateur hour in America.
Did he say anything about Abenomics?
That was my reaction too, but having slept on it my thinking went to how it's just one economists of one of the Fed banks.
This morning I went though the Fed's press releases and publications and I finally found a lot of chatter on the subject. Seems that the problem w/ velocity is that it's not 'sexy'. Apparently the big muckymucks love to get their names on papers that talk 'inflation' or 'unemployment', but money velocity is a geek thing that only the lowly wonks care to get into.
Yeah I think this guy was the junior varsity (the real one not like Obama’s ISIS JV). Pretty young. PhD from Michigan undergrad Amherst. His presentation was Fed Operations 101. This conference is used to having much more polished speakers who actually give decent economic information. Honestly anyone who reads this thread could have given a much better presentation than this guy. I just hope he isn’t influencing policy...
Also asked him about monetary velocity and he said "I haven't looked at that one."
Maybe I need to go back and get my BS in economics again?
