The must think that all the conservatives will come back and embrace the GOPe candidates like good little drones. I think they may be mistaken.
THAT is the grave disadvantage of working from inside the R Party, when there are too many candidates. Also, none of these candidates have to make a real commitment to conservative platforms.
If we want a conservative America we may need to at least be willing to stand up a conservative party.
I don’t know, but now that RINOS work in tandem with Marxists to destroy conservatives, how much worse could it get in a a conservative party?
I don’t know about going 3rd party, sometimes I think yes, most times I think no.
It took the New Lefties DECADES to take over the Dem party, but they did it, and Obama is the apex of that achievement.
From the start I have been worried about impatience in the Tea Party. Like I just said it took decades to mess up this country, we can’t expect to fix it in one or three election cycles. And we also can’t expect everyone we elected to be (or stay) pure as the driven snow either. Politics is horse trading and it was and will be ever thus, at least in democracies.
However, let me add this caveat: if the Rs pass amnesty I’m done with them forever.
Setting that aside for a moment, I say we keep trying to take over the R party, school boards, party positions, etc. All the real low hanging fruit is probably easily plucked.
The nominee for Pres. in 2016 is very important. No, I don’t think Dr. Carson should run for or be our next president. Maybe he should try for another elected office first.
Personally I like Rand Paul, but I’m open to others also.
And, in general, even though I know one of the things about the tea party was that it was going to be just a loose affiliation, I think we do need a way to get behind one person in most, if not all, of these races.
And we must NOT let the slugs of the MSM demoralize us.
The GOP is just not a viable option for conservatives. The party has deeply intrenched interests who protect the status quo and ward off all who would fight against big government. The GOP will never change. Ever. Attempting to work through it is a fool’s errand and a complete waste of time.

I believe I really agree with you though against a 3rd party, and wonder at our numbers. They are hard to gage for effectiveness, actually, but we will see what sitting on our hands brings to the midterms, especially against McConnell and Thad Cochran (MS).
I have no intention to vote for Cornyn, and he doesn’t need it, so I can only hope for a margin of victory that proves embarrassing for him, against Blondie (Wendy Davis).

Me too. I have a video I filmed on Youtube of a Tea Party rally April 15, 2009. The Tea Party was a month or two old at the time. I ran a Tea Party oriented website during the 2010 election cycle that was pretty popular around these parts. It was expensive but worth it.
I'm a Tea Party guy but I happen to believe that moving the GOP to the right is a long term project. I wish it wasn't but I'm afraid it is. And I don't buy the idea that many on this forum have that replacing GOPe types with Dems is a good strategy. Getting the Mary Landrieu types out of office in Red States is a lot harder than people realize.
For me the strategy has to be to beat the GOPe incumbents in the primaries. Yes this is hard. Yes, we have not had many victories this election season. But the GOPe is worried. We are moving them bit by bit to the right although we have a long way to go. Right now we need to get control of the Senate. Yes it will be GOPe control. But that will be better than Harry Reid control. There is a difference. Remember- every GOPe dummy in the Senate and the House voted against Obamacare.

Completely agree with you on that. That’s probably our only option in the short run.
However, IMHO the GOP is not a long term solution. I know people who have worked inside the GOP. Let me assure you, while the party talks conservative it is anything but. There are DEEPLY intrenched interests that control the party and they are simply not going to give that up. As they say, power corrupts.
If the GOP believed in conservative principles they would heretofore have acted to significantly reduce the size of government. The sad truth is that they are big government statists not unlike their “colleagues” in the Democrat Party.
But back to your point, when a man is starving he doesn’t demand filet mignon. He’ll gladly settle for a cheap hamburger. That’s where we are at now. The GOP is all we got — at the moment. Its better than starving to death.
Here’s the problem for the GOP-e. They didn’t run as the establishment. They ran as Tea Partiers. Of course, they lied, but now they can be held to their statements.
